Enjoyed every minute. In a great place to see the whole of Cornwall. Perrenporth two minute drive. Owners were very welcoming, even left us tea, coffee, milk and biscuits upon arrival, and treats for the dog. A super place and I’m sure we will be back

The barn was spotlessly clean with everything we needed for our weeks holiday. Really liked the heating system, didn't get too hot or too cold. Although the nights got a little cold outside the barn seemed very well insulated and warm. Very private and peaceful and a perfect location for exploring Cornwall. Thanks for letting us bring our dog with us to stay in your lovely property. We will try and return next year.

All essential equipment you would need . Owners very friendly and on hand to help or advise when necessary. Added bonus of rear enclosed garden for a dog. Short distance from beaches and shops. Well worth a visit and we will most likely return.

  • "This has been a wonderful stay."

The accomodation is top notch, very comfortable with a lovely back garden that catches the sun til late in the evening. The area is truly beautiful, with rolling hills and plenty of walking opportunities, perfect for taking a stroll with the dog! Penhallow is situated within a few miles of so many places of interest, it is hard to choose. Paul and Tracy were excellent hosts, proving very knowledgeable about the area, never hesitating to answer a question. Will definitely be coming back!

  • "Lovely little cottage perfect location for us while staying in Cornwall."

Was greet by Paul who explained everything to us and a lovely touch Milk, tea, biscuits and dog treats , I am afraid that's where the good bit end's the place is damp you can smell it .We've had to wash all our clothes we didn't use because they smelt of damp . The mattress was so uncomfortable ended up with no sleep and back ache and as for the hover and iron think they came out of a museum. One other think that made us laugh was the soap and washing up liquid had been water down. It's a shame the place has so much potential where it situated and so much charm it's the little thing's that let it down . Was worried about the damp because my partner suffers with breathing problems this is why I've mentioned it for others to be aware.

Whilst we understand every customer has different sleeping requirements it is impossible for us to provide a mattress to suit everyone which is why last season we installed a medium density memory foam mattress to the property in the hope it would suit most people. In respect to the FREE complimentary cleaning products provided, each guest has the choice not to use these and purchase and use their own cleaning items after all the property is rented as a self catering cottage. In respect to the Hoover and Iron The hoover is a top of the range German Vorwork hoover 4 seasons old and the iron is 3 seasons old We also dispute the smell of damp as the property has only just been redecorated. Good sized bedroom with comfortable beds and good bedding. Shower was good, although hot water from taps in kitchen and bathroom was only lukewarm. Outdoor space was very good with nice enclosed garden and good parking space. Hosts, Paul and Tracy were very friendly and helpful.

  • "Cottage met out needs and was comfort."

It was ideally placed for where we needed to be. However there was no heating in the bathroom which for late October was not good. Would not stay there during winter months. Bathroom towels needed to be larger and better quality. Only one toilet role for 2 people for 7 days seemed rather mean although we always take extra. The cream tea was a nice gesture. Generally ok.

My only fault was we think there should have been a curtain or blind on the porch door window which is directly across from the bathroom door so always have to make sure you have a towel wrapped around you when leaving the bathroom other than that really enjoyed our stay and we will be coming back next year

  • "The host was friendly and the cottage was as described, comfortable and clean and the kitchen had everything you would need."

It is nothing fancy in terms of decor but I wasn't expecting it to be. It was functional and the location great for exploring Cornwall. The only concern I had was because we had a lot of sea mist while we were there, the house did have a smell of damp when you walked in and towels etc didn't dry. The property was plenty warm enough (the heating could be controlled with a little thermostat on the wall) but because you couldn't turn the radiators on clothes didn't dry well. All in all a pleasant stay though.

  • "The pictures in the web site showed an armchair and footstool which was not there."

The bedroom was damp so all the clothes we put on were damp. I appreciate energy saving bulbs but the bedroom was so dark even with all the lights on you couldn’t read a book in bed The fridge did not have a freezer compartment, The proximity of the barn was accurate in reaching the pubs and beaches, but I think this property need to be updated

Thank you for your feedback. We have never had any previous comments regarding the lighting in the property. We don't advertise a freezer however there is one available to use upon request. The week you visited was unfortunately very wet and as such if you are drying clothes on the airer in the bedroom with no ventilation then it will start to feel damp, this has never been reported before.
