  • "Absolutely beautiful cottage."

. could not fault it. It had everything we needed. Lovely to find tea bags sugar milk and Cornish cookies on our arrival. Great having a garden. Would definitely recommend.

  • "We had the loveliest holiday in Mevagissey with 17 The Cliff as our base."

It was extremely clean, comfortable and with many lovely little extra touches that were so special. The ice machine helped to keep our drinks chilled and the log burner helped us to stay cosy on milder evenings. Our sons had a wonderful time crabbing in the harbour and Polstreath Beach was just a short walk away - our favourite beach of all! We hope to return to this wonderful abode.

Thank you for your kind review William. Glad you had a great time! Polstreath is a little gem - so lucky to have it as near as it is. Property Owner

thoroughly recommend it. We came by train and found the bus service to/ from Mevagissy excellent. Would suggest a car is not needed here as long as you are fairly mobile.

Thanks for the positive feedback - glad you had a lovely holiday. Hope to see you again. Property Owner

  • "A delightful cottage in a lovely location."

Warm and comfortable with a private and sunny patio at the rear. We would have appreciated some little extras like condiments, paper towel, etc. The directions were not very clear once we reached the centre.

Happy you enjoyed our cottage - sorry about the extra bits and pieces - the cleaners are supposed to put those things out, but clearly didn’t in your case - we have new cleaners now! Hope to see you again. Property Owner

  • "Overall most of the property was clean and tidy."

It was in a great location. There were two things that let it down. The first being the worst issue: On arrival there were two plug in air fresheners (one in each bedroom). I wasn't aware the reason until I switched them off as they were overpowering. The reason came apparent: an awful smell of stale urine from the bathroom which wafted into the bedrooms, especially at night and I could smell it whilst trying to get to sleep. I initially tried to rid the smell with anti bacterial wipes. When this failed I bought a neutradol pot to place in the loo. This didn't work either. What resolved the issue was me scrubbing all the wall and floor tiles and walls near the loo with bleach. It only took me 20 minutes. I can't understand why this wasn't done by the cleaners, as someone was obviously aware of the issue as had bought the airfresheners to hide it. The other, smaller issue was the removal of cutlery and crockery from the property (it was written in the property notes that this was due to covid) This was very impractical having to wash up halfway through every meal and putting the dishwasher on after every meal. It seemed very illogical how reducing cutlery and crockery would do anything to protect anyone from covid.

  • "Fabulous holiday at 17 The Cliff."

A truly lovely cottage in a great location! From the lounge windows you can sit on the window seat and look down to the harbour and watch the world go by. From the very top of the garden you can also see the harbour and out to the sea. We picked the hottest week of the year but thankfully the cottage remained cool. Loved the 'upside down'ness' - bedrooms dark enough downstairs, cool and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, all very well decorated and comfortable. Home from home and we'd not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

!! They need to update there departure instructions so there is no future confusion & maybe the cottage manager needs to know her properties The only other minor issue was lack of storage for clothes but I understand the maybe a lack space

Beautiful and spotless accommodation with everything you could possibly need. A lovely deck to sit out on with a chimnea if it got to chilly. Books and DVDs galore. A truly lovely spot. I guess the only downside was the persistent noise from squaking seagulls and possibly the interuption to the harbour view by a neighbouring roof..but didn't really upset rhe holiday.

Just a small observation, there was no welcome pack as stated in the information folder in the cottage. Not a problem as we had everything we needed however if this is not to be included then should maybe removed from the information. We had a fabulous week.
