“What a fantastic little farmhouse ...”
What a fantastic little farmhouse this was. The overall decor was extremely pleasant and we were very impressed. We were looking for a relaxing 4 days away from home and we are more than happy that this farmhouse met/exceeded our expectations. Would definately recommend to our friends and anyone looking for a relaxing time in a lovely ex farmhouse. An added bonus was that we could take our two sprocker spaniels with us and both also enjoyed their break!

The property

Perfectly located for touring Cornwall, this detached, cosy old farmhouse is tucked away from the road in the heart of Par and dates back to 1850.

The Old Farmhouse is spacious, yet full of character and makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive, perfect for a family holiday or for friends taking a break together.

The two well-furnished bedrooms, along with the bathroom, are upstairs, whilst the downstairs is open plan.

The kitchen leads into the sitting area, where you can cosy up to watch a film or, in the summer, wander through into the conservatory, complete with table and chairs and enjoy meals together on bright sunny mornings and long evenings.

Outside, the lovely, enclosed garden is ideal for children and dogs to run around and play in, as well as sitting outside and enjoying a barbecue.

A pub, a shop and a Post Office are all just a two-minute walk away from the property, whilst a year-round dog-friendly beach is only an eight-minute walk away.

If you’d rather leave your car at home while you explore the area, the mainline railway station is also just eight minutes away on foot and good bus links are offered to all main attractions.

Nearby, the magnificent Eden Project is definitely a must on your holiday itinerary, where giant biospheres imitate tropical and Mediterranean climates, playing host to an abundance of plant life from around the world.

To experience the unspoilt charm of Cornwall, pull on your walking boots and enjoy the many idyllic picnic spots found in its wild and wonderful coastline, or its beautiful, tranquil countryside.

For a Cornish holiday to remember, The Old Farmhouse is an ideal place to stay at any time of year.
