Location: Newlyn

Penzance 1 mile.

Located just a mile west of Penzance, the fishing port of Newlyn is home to the largest fleet of fishing boats in the South of England and visitors can watch the landing of fish at the market on the quay. This Cornish village is clustered around the harbour, with its old quay curling around a few small boats on the western side, and much larger quays in the centre and on the eastern side of the harbour. An abundance of wildlife and flora can be enjoyed along Cornwall's nearby coastal path, while basking sharks and grey seals can occasionally be seen. The Cornish coast is renowned for surfing and Penwith offers some splendid beaches on which to enjoy this sport. Mount's Bay also offers a wealth of opportunity for water sports enthusiasts as well as giving visitors an opportunity to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings.

A cosy and comfortable home. The location was brilliant and the views of Newlyn Harbour were great!
Mr Dyer, Chinnor, January 2012

Its a very nice old cottage with fantastic views.
Mr Conboy, Stroud, October 2011

Lovely cottage with amazing views. We loved Newlyn - nice and quiet and unspoiled by tourism. Especially loved the largely off-road bicycle route to Mousehole and St Michael's Mount. Sykes were really helpful and will definitely use them again!
Mr Lazenby, Otley, July 2011

The house was lovely and the views from the balcony were wonderful. The place was quirky, clean and comfortable; just what I like from a holiday home - something different.
Mrs Felton, Grimsby, July 2011
