Plymouth 3 miles (via ferry); Whitsand Bay 2 miles.
Antony is a small village on the Rame Peninsula, set on a hillside overlooking the beautiful Lynher River estuary, with excellent ferry links to Plymouth just 3 miles away. There is a good village pub, and just outside the village is Antony House, one of the finest Georgian Mansions in Cornwall, owned by the National Trust and used for the filming of "Alice in Wonderland". Along the southern edges of the Rame Peninsula there are miles of beautiful coastal walks with glorious views of Rame Head, towering above the sea. Nearby is Mount Edgcumbe Park providing fabulous views of Plymouth Sound. Just two miles south of Antony lies Whitsand Bay with its 4 miles of sandy beach and dramatic cliffs. A little farther afield in Plymouth there is plenty to amuse everyone; visit the Aquarium, wine and dine in the lanes of the historic Barbican harbour area or indulge in a spot of retail therapy.

Previous visitors' comments about 2 Hyfield:
The property was open plan and modern in style but still warm and welcoming. We had everything we needed for our self catering stay. The under floor heating was really good and easy to operate although most days we did not need it as it was mild compared to Yorkshire weather. The bathrooms and showers were excellent. The kitchen had everything we needed. The views from the windows were stunning. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. It was very dog friendly whilst being finished to a very high standard.

The views from the cottage and easy access to the sea.
Mr Halstead, Bideford, November 2012
Cottage was well maintained, clean and well heated. Location was good as the intention of our stay was to spend time with our daughter who is currently studying in Plymouth. Our dog also enjoyed her stay in a dog friendly cottage.
