  • "The apartment is in a great location, but it is really run down."

There is a mold problem, which is really bad. We have allergies against mold, which made it impossible to sleep in one room. The apartment upstairs is so loud. If we knew these things beforehand, we could have found other accommodation, left this apartment for someone who doesn’t mind these things.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, we would have been happy to resolve this issue, if you had contacted us during your stay. It is unusual and not something we have been advised about in any previous feedback received, as the property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, it is worth noting that on the latest visit our cleaning team have reported no evidence of mold in the property. We are sorry if you experienced noise upstairs, unfortunately, this is something that is out of our control. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful, well appointed and well presented property."

It felt like a lot of thought had gone in to equipping the flat. The owner noted that they wondered if anything else was needed - the only suggestion I have is an outdoor shower/hose as I felt bad for the amount of sand that came in to the property when we came back from surfing or needed to rinse the wetsuits!

  • "This property was fantastic, stayed for 5 nights in July and the whole time was great."

The photos are accurate, it is a compact set up but is well laid out. The decking was lovely to sit out on and there is easy access out the decking to the beach. The hosts were fantastic, nothing was missing and they left us set up for our holiday. Would definitely recommend booking this property.

  • "Great location, opposite park and unicorn pub, really appreciated the little gifts on arrival, cream teas, dog biscuits etc and everything you would need is there."

Furnishings and decor all OK, was comfortable and all very clean. Only slight gripe is the early checkout - trying to get two toddlers ready and out the door and strip beds etc by 9.30 is too early.

  • "Loved our stay the only negative was the very late check in and early check out You expect the place to be left clean and tidy but a 930am departure is unrealistic and far too early."

  • "This wonderful apartment was just perfect for our family holiday to Porthtowan."

We wanted to be close to a beach but also have amenities around us too. The apartment was beautifully clean and the attention to detail was absolutely amazing. The little extras, like dog blankets, toys for the dogs, scones and clotted cream on arrival, souvenir jam jars to take home. The list goes on! The apartment is very modern and well thought out. The drawers and cupboards were full of everything you will need! It was very comfy and had a home from home feel to it. The main oven didn’t work which was a shame but we managed with the top oven for the week. We struggled to remove the shower head from the unit which became a bit annoying at times. The water pressure wasn’t great but we knew this before we arrived. The only downside to this apartment is the lack of privacy in the garden. There is a few steps leading from the back garden which gives you quick access to the park opposite or the beach road. Unfortunately, our neighbours were using this constantly which did cause issues as we had no privacy whatsoever as they were in and out climbing over the wall every few minutes. This was the only big problem for us. Our children would be outside playing and then run in as they were embarrassed about having people walking over the wall. If it was a few times then this would’ve been fine, but it was very frequent! However, this wouldn’t stop us going back to Offshore, as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, it ticked every box for us. You are literally opposite the pub which is a great location if you like to go out for drinks and cocktails in the evening, but you do get a bit fed up with the smell of garlic and seafood entering the apartment every day. We visited the pub which didn’t really fit our family as the menu is mainly seafood. We asked for haddock and our kids ended up with platefuls of octopus, prawns and squid! Needless to say we left hungry which was a shame, but if you’re a seafood lover then you’ll love it! I have given this apartment 5 stars as we really were so overwhelmed by the amount of thought that’s gone into making this property perfect for your holiday by the sea! The little touches made it for us! Porthtowan is a beautiful place to stay. We will be back Offshore! Thanks for making this a holiday we’ll never forget! ❤️

The you for your feedback. Pleased you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "Very comfortable and well equipped cottage in an amazing location, just moments from the beach and local amenities."

We would love to return, however the almost double price hike for next year makes this unlikely, sadly just no longer value for money.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay."

The apartment had everything and more that we could possibly need. It really was a home from home. The location was brilliant. We stayed at a different property in Cornwall last year and this by far exceeded it for roughly the same price. My daughter was upset to leave. We will definitely be back again soon and will stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about holidaying in Cornwall. Thank you!! 10/10

Very good location - close to beach and pubs, especially the Unicorn. Parking a bit tight especially when all the bays were used. Great coastal walks on the doorstep. Would happily stop here again.
