Wheal Rashleigh Dry Cottages
These superb cottages are part of a small collection of holiday properties on the edge of the former mining town of St Blazey. Wheal Rashleigh Dry Cottages have been beautifully-converted from an old china clay drying house and are situated just a mile from the world-renowned Eden Project and two miles from the sandy beach at Par. Imaginatively-designed in an upside down style, each of the cottages has retained wonderful character features including wooden beams and the original chimney, as well as offering contemporary touches such as floor to ceiling windows in some rooms offering views across the grounds. Each cottage has a small private patio area as well as access to large communal grounds, whilst a five minute walk will take you into St Blazey where you will find a selection of local shops. For a wide range of local amenities, St Austell, Cornwall's largest town, can be reached in less than ten minutes by car, or you may wish to visit the harbour at Charlestown, which often plays host to tall ships. Undoubtedly, the main attractions in this part of Cornwall are the magnificent gardens, with the Eden Project just a thirty minutes’ walk away from these cottages. Alternatively, the Lost Gardens of Heligan are only ten miles away, so you are totally spoilt for choice as to how to fill your days. There are also many small Cornish fishing villages and towns within easy reach. Looe, Polperro and Fowey, to name just a few, all offer a good selection of restaurants to suit all tastes. With their perfect location for visiting the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer, these holiday homes offer superb year-round destinations near to the south Cornish coast.

About the location
Eden Project 1 mile; Charlestown 3 miles; St Austell 3 miles.
St Blazey is a small town situated three miles east of St Austell and was formerly an important engineering centre for the local mining and railway industries. The town is nowadays best known for being the closest to the Eden Project. Nearby Charlestown is a delightful and much sought after coastal village of stone cottages and regency houses. It is famous for its collection of tall ships riding at anchor in the harbour, the shipwreck museum, excellent pubs and restaurants and easy access to the coastal path. The old market town of St. Austell lies just a few miles from the south coast, and is famous for its China Clay mining history. Today, home to numerous beaches, (including dog-friendly Par Sands) and sub tropical gardens, it is a popular place for tourists, with plenty to see and do. A short drive will take you to fashionable Fowey or the fishing port of Mevagissey, and with lots to do, this is a great year round location.
