This light and airy annexe is next to the owner’s farmhouse on their smallholding, in the village of Stibb Cross near to the historic town of Great Torrington.
The cottage is a romantic rural escape in picturesque countryside where sheep and cattle graze, but is convenient for discovering the spectacular North Devon coastline.
All the accommodation is on the ground floor with a cosy sitting room which has a double sofa bed and French doors leading onto the patio.
Wander through to the modern well-equipped kitchen, where you can enjoy your meals in the dining area.
The cottage also has a lovely double bedroom and bathroom with bath, separate shower and wide doorway.
Outside is a lovely enclosed garden with furniture where you can sit and relax enjoying the distant views of the beautiful Dartmoor Tors, whilst dining alfresco, or why not enjoy a stroll through the owners' 6-acre field?
Just up the road from the cottage is RHS Rosemoor, a must for garden and rose lovers, while walkers and cyclists will want to discover the well-known Tarka Trail, a 180 mile route through the stunning scenery of North Devon with some magnificent viewpoints along the way.
The sandy beaches at Westward Ho! and Instow are 15 minutes’ drive away, as is the historic harbour village of Clovelly with its steep pedestrianised cobbled main street and views over the Bristol Channel.
Further afield, the Civil War town of Torrington is packed with local history, as is Arlington Court, a National Trust property with a fine collection of elegant carriages, or why not take a day cruise to Lundy Island where you could see breeding puffins and seabirds together with basking sharks and seals?
After an action packed day, you can be assured of coming back to a peaceful and welcoming retreat.
