  • "Home from home."

No1 The Heathers had everything we needed for our stay. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and if in the area, stay there ourselves again.

  • "The above property was very comfortable and clean with all the amenities you needed, the kitchen in particular."

Sitting outside having breakfast next to the stream was a bonus. The only downside was the photos were dated as they showed a bath and not a shower, not many places have baths.

  • "The windowsills outside were really dirty, the vacuum smelt really really bad and we left it cleaner than we found it."

There was no bath as in the advertisement and the towels were very sparse. The DVD player also didn’t work

  • "Disappointed there was no bath."

Had to remove all scented pots because of allergies but apart from that everything was excellent

The site was clean and very quiet. The bungalow was beautiful, just what we needed. We will be booking again thank you.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at The Heathers."

The accommodation is comfortable and very homely, also very light inside. The bathroom has been updated and now has a walk in shower and is decorated very nicely. The kitchen is very well equipped. With regards to the bedrooms they are a good size and again comfortable. Rosecraddoc is very well situated to enable you to visit other places in Cornwall. We visited Looe a few times (my family live there), Falmouth and Bude. For food shopping Morrisons in Liskeard is very near and also Aldi. For Cornish pasties we would recommend Barnecutts in Liskeard. We would definitely stay at the accommodation again. Thank-you.

  • "Had a problem getting there, were given incorrect postcode, no “The Heathers”house sign visible only number."

On arrival, cleanliness was questionable. Internet very expensive at £4.99 an hour. There is a de-humidifier that had to be emptied 2-3 times daily. Crockery very mismatched, some cutlery had food residue, so had to wash everything before use. Dog walking area was very small. Could not open windows b cause of overgrown bushes and brambles.

  • "Fantastic little cottage it felt so homely."

The owners Denise & Barry had thought of every thing that you may need. Lonely river running past the cottage and the beds were so comfortable. Great location for days out too! Only one thing that was disappointing and not anything to do with Denise and Barry, was that it wasn’t advertised that the Village inn on site would be closed again this year, although this would not of made a difference to our choice or stay I feel it should be advertised on the Sykes site. Thank you to Denise and Barry for a wonderful stay

  • "Only complaint was that there was no Wifi connection a d when we tried to ring you your mobile was said to be an unused number and despite ringing your landline several times we never got an answer Our son is an actor and during his holiday had to do a lot of work He had to buy a lot of Wifi connection."

Apart from this everything was fine

Thank you for your feedback, due to the location of the property it can be problematic regarding the Wifi as property is in a valley. Property Owner

Otherwise everything else was lovely and we enjoyed our stay thank you very much.

Everything you needed for you holiday except your food and drink was in the cottage. Great location to take the dogs for a walk on the Moors every day just had to dodge the animals. Would go again.

  • "Cleanliness left a lot to be desired, bulbs needing replacing, toilet set needed sorting."

The place smelled damp and musky.

Thank you for your feedback. The owner is disappointed to hear you were unhappy with cleanliness levels, this could have been addressed during your stay to make your time there more enjoyable had you let either us or them know. The toilet seat has been replaced twice this year, it does sometimes come loose with usage but only requires tightening, the bathroom is being renovated later this year. All the bulbs were checked on changeover unfortunately they can go at any time but the owner would have been happy to change them during your stay had they been made aware of it. With reference to the damp smell, this is not something that previous guests have reported to the owner. Thank you for bringing it to their attention, they will investigate this further on their next visit. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful remote place, after a busy day visiting attraction which was full of tourists."

The lodge is better equipped than I expected and it was welcoming and comfy. The environment and scene was beautiful. I loved the stream behind the lodge with lots of plants and trees along the bank. The sound of the stream was very relaxing, the air fresh and clean. The lodge would just need some hooks on bathroom and bedroom doors. I highly recommend this place and I would definitely go back again.

  • "Lovely clean cottage well supplied with items."

Needed clearer instructions on using some things. eg. Electric fire (which we didn’t need to use ) Also mobile no was unattainable Telephone no was not answered We just wanted to query something fortunately nothing important I’m just mentioning the above in case owners were needed urgently.

  • "Lovely comfortable little holiday bungalow in a very quiet park."

WiFi is a bit off and on but that’s how it is there., not the owners fault. Everything else is good, plenty of china and cutlery etc. The only thing that could be changed would be duvets, they are winter ones and far too warm for summer, but beds comfortable. Would visit again as not far from Looe and Polperro.

  • "Overall the cottage was clean but in need of some maintenance work."

The blind in the bedroom was broken, so had to resort to hanging a blanket up as a curtain. the loo seat was broken and the hook on the bathroom door broken too. It was chilly at night, couldn't find any instructions to put some heating on. A washing machine is also needed particularly if on holiday 2 weeks.

Many thanks for your feedback, the blind is now going to be replaced completely for curtains, the toilet seat has also been fixed, going forward I will ensure instructions will be left for future guests. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was really welcoming, but the complex is not."

The pub only serves in the evening and is very expensive. There's nothing else to do. The complex really needs to have a clubhouse that you could have a coffee and something to eat during the day. The cottage is only half an hour away from Looe and the Anthont Estate (well worth a visit).

  • "There was a great level of disappointment during this holiday."

The perspective we had from your list of facilities was great until we got to the cottage and we realised there was hardly anything you mentioned. There was Wi-fi but it didn't let us connect, perhaps a guide on how to connect and a Voucher code could have been provided to us. The cottage was had very little hygiene. There were dust, dead bugs and insects everywhere and it had seemed as if the place hadn't been cleaned at all. In the master bedroom, the blinds were broken and furniture outside wasn't appropriate to sit on. On the other hand, the scenery outside the cottage and the environment was beautiful and pleasing.
