Location: Little Petherick Near Padstow

Padstow 2.5 miles; Wadebridge 4.5 miles.

Set in a wooded valley at the head of a tidal creek running up from the Camel River, this tiny hamlet of Cornish stone houses exudes peace and tranquillity. Footpaths lead in all directions - across the fields, over to the next village, down the creek to the river and along the waterÂ’s edge to Padstow. Wildlife, waterfowl and the sights and sounds of the country are everywhere, and yet, just 10 minutes by car, and you are in Padstow with its winding streets, quaint fishing harbour, excellent pubs and top quality restaurants. The excellent surfing beaches of Harlyn and Constantine are ideal for safe family fun, and are just a few miles away, while a passenger ferry across the river from Padstow to Rock takes you to the beach at Daymer Bay. Just around the corner toward Pentire Head is the surfing paradise at Polzeath, and when the beach no longer calls, thereÂ’s a golf course nearby, several stately homes and gardens to visit and the Camel Trail to walk or cycle. The fabulous Eden Project is just 15 miles away.

I appreciated the complimentary milk, eggs and delicious biscuits. The cottage was an ideal location to explore that area and I loved it being quiet and away from any traffic noise which enhanced my short break.

Very clean cottage, delightful situation overlooking the river creek. Well located for the immediate area and touring Cornwall. Nice touch to have welcome tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and flowers.
Dr Miller, St. Helens, September 2012

A good property for a small family, and cosy good quality fixtures and fittings. The location was ideal and close proximity to all local beaches and nearby towns.
Mrs Ellis, Milton Keynes, July 2012

We could not have chosen a better place to stay! For just the two of us it was perfect. A good location for us to tour around the region.
