The Property

A character, stone, semi-detached cottage, opposite the village hall, in the centre of the rural hamlet of Trewidland, near St Keyne. This Cornwall cottage is beautifully presented, combining period features such as wooden beams with tasteful furnishings to provide an ideal cosy retreat. The sitting room has large comfy leather sofas, perfect for relaxing in front of the woodburning stove on cool evenings, while the kitchen has slate floors, contemporary fittings and a dining area, ideal for long, sociable suppers. The garden at this Cornwall cottage is sunny, sheltered and private; a lovely outdoor space for evening drinks. The coast can be easily reached from this Cornwall cottage, which is only five miles from Looe, a bustling working port with traditional charm, plenty of boats to watch and sandy beaches for the children. Life slows down in South East Cornwall, but not to the point where you won't find anything to do, such as visiting the Looe Monkey Sanctuary, set in beautiful woodlands overlooking Looe Bay. Cornwall also has fantastic gardens to visit such as the well-known Eden Project which is just half an hour's drive away from this Cornwall cottage, whilst Mount Edgcumbe, the hidden gem of Cornish gardens, is on the doorstep. There is some fabulous walking to be enjoyed from this Cornwall cottage, along the 33 miles of the South West Coastal Path stretching from Fowey, through Looe, with hidden coves to visit and plenty of villages along the way for a lunchtime pasty or ice cream before tackling the next stretch. With all this to choose from, a stay in this Cornwall cottage offers an enticing mix of relaxation and energising activities.

Previous visitors' comments about Lower Town Cottage:

Ideal cottage in quiet country village with short journeys to points of interest. At this time of year the log fire made this cottage cosy and warm.
Mr Johnson, Winscombe, December 2012

A lovely period cottage, modern and cosy inside. The lounge and dining area were both comfortable. Private little patio area and barbeque for when weather is good. Good base for visiting Cornwall and Devon.
