    • “We received a warm welcome from Tim and Pillie, who are extremely dog friendly. Nice fenced in garden and lovely view from the front of the cottage. Masses of room in the fields to walk the dog. The weather was very cold but the cottage was warm and cosy with the log burner. Farm View was well equipped and spotlessly clean. A good base to visit lots of great locations in the surrounding area. Local pub within walking distance, good food and nice staff. (Also dog friendly).”

    • “Beautiful cottage, wonderful owners - perfect stay!!”

    • “Myself, my sister and out Mum, along with family pet, Bailey, stayed at the cottage over the Jubilee Weekend and it was a wonderful stay. The milk in the fridge ready for our arrival and the delicious home made apple pie were the perfect touch! The owners of the cottage couldn't have been nicer. We were allowed to walk Bailey in the farm's fields, which really did wear our big dog out - and that's not easy to do! The local pub was very friendly and the take away food from there was yummy. We had plenty of info in the cottage about reaching the supermarket and ideas for days out. All in all, and despite from the rain all day Sunday, our weekend away was the break we all needed and couldn't have been better - we are even hoping to return next year!!”

    • “Most tranquil place to stay”

    • “The cottage could not be in a better place for views & the peace & quiet. The owners gave us a lovely greeting on arriving & showed us all the cottage & how everything wked & gave us plenty of info on best places to visit & eat then was also info in folder in the cottage that you could go over in your own time to plan out your wks trips. The cottage was far enough away from shops etc but central to 2 supermarkets & you don't have to go onto motorways to tour round which is always a bonus. The open fire was lovely on a few nights to make it more cosy then it already was & the kitchen was just like home from home so could not ask for more & was the perfect hoilday cottage for peace & quiet.”

    • “Brilliant location & fabulous cottage!”

    • “We had the most amazing week in this cottage adjacent to the working farm. The owners were very welcoming and the cottage was beautifully decorated, well equipped and had its own garden with BBQ. The cottage has microwave, toaster, hob, oven, diswasher, hairdryer, fridge, and everything you would ever need. There is a lovely walk-in wet room/shower too. We took our dog and were allowed to walk across the acres of fields as we wished. There is a footpath that takes you the long way round to the local pub, but then after the pub, the walk back is only about 10 minutes. Incidentally the The New Inn pub is fabulous, great food, amazing deserts and dog friendly. There is loads to see locally, Malmesbury, Castle Coomb, Tetbury and also Morrisons is about 5 minutes in the car. We had a great time and can't wait to return.”

    • “The service was second to none even down to mince pies,a Christmas tree and a welcoming fire in the wood burning stove waiting for us. The cottage is tastefully furnished, very comfortable and has all the household conveniences you need. There are lovely walks around the local area, just right for dog walking,a welcoming pub in the village and interesting places to visit within twenty miles with many more a little further afield. The owners of the property made us so welcome and were so friendly, there was nothing to dislike about the holiday. We would love to return some time in sunnier weather to sit on the patio and enjoy the view.”

We really enjoyed lighting the fire in the living room every night (great feature). The view from the windows were gorgeous and the location of the cottage is perfect, tucked away from everything. About the location

Chippenham 5 miles; Malmesbury 6 miles.

The small North Wiltshire village of Upper Seagry is found in superb countryside only 5 miles north of the bustling market town of Chippenham, and 6 miles from the ancient town of Malmesbury. Close to the southern end of The Cotswolds, this rural location provides a great base from which to explore this fascinating area. There are ample footpaths and bridleways nearby, a visit to Malmesbury - with its 12th century Benedictine Abbey - is a must, whilst a trip to the Cotswold Water Park is a real treat. Westobirt Arboretum, with its extensive collection of trees and shrubs is not to be missed. Within an easy drive can be found the picturesque village of Castle Combe, also well known for its car racing track, and the quaint National Trust village of Lacock, used as the setting for the BBC TV serial Cranford. The impressive Roman city of Bath, Bowood House, and the ancient stone circle at Avebury are also easily accessible. This really is an excellent base for a relaxing and interesting break at any time of the year.
