The thriving village community of Rushall can be found in the Avon Valley beside the gently rolling chalk downland, in the scenic Vale of Pewsey, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This regions is rich in ancient history, dotted with picturesque villages and home to two white horses carved into the chalk hillsides. In late summer, the area is also well known for the appearance of numerous crop circles! Winding its way along the valley is the beautifully restored Kennet and Avon Canal, providing peaceful walks along the tow path, and a canal boat trip from the nearby market town of Devizes or from Pewsey Wharf is not to be missed. Within an easy drive is the impressive town of Marlborough, with one of England's widest high streets, and the stone circle at Avebury. How about a day trip to the magnificent cities of Salisbury or Bath, majestic Stonehenge or Longleat Safari Park, all within easy reach? There really is so much to do and see in this fascinating area.
