  • "The apartment is a perfect base for exploring the area."

It was bright and airy and a peaceful place to relax in an evening. As others have mentioned the WiFi is very weak, in fact we struggled to get it to work at all (maybe some sort of booster is needed as the router must be sited out of range). Whilst the bedroom and bathroom were very clean the kitchen/lounge would have benefit from a bit more TLC as touch points seemed grubby e.g. kettle handle, fridge/freezer doors, and there were cobwebs around windows. A dishwasher would have been nice even just for the two of us, and its a shame the lovely original fireplace isn't displayed rather than masked by an electric fire. Despite the above we would still consider staying here again if visiting this area.

It was very clean and tidy . Jackie was a great host and was there when we turned up to explain everything . Great walks and lovely countryside. Highly recommend.

  • "Had a fantastic time at Frampton, apartment was clean and tidy and had everything I needed."

Great place for a spot of cycling, easy access to the canal and from there to Slimbrige or the other way for a nice run out with a sneaky pub lunch on the side of the Severn. The only slight niggle was the wifi strength was rather week, didn't work outside the kitchen/living room area but didn't detract from an overall brilliant holiday. Would go back.

  • "Very nice place and the property owner was lovely."

Personally a teapot would have been great but that did not deter from the place itself. Place to park the car and lovely local walks and general amenities.

  • "The homemade marmalade was a lovely touch and was delicious."

Everything that we needed in this tastefully decorated flat, especially the extra large bathroom. The landlady Jackie was on hand and very helpful. A great location, in this beautiful village, right on the Green, next to the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal and within walking distance from the Slimbridge WWT.

  • "Had a lovely week in Wards Court 1."

The flat was pretty much as described, clean and well equipped, with speedy wifi. Not sure I'd describe the bathroom as luxurious but it was perfectly fine with good shower pressure. It was a bit chilly when we arrived but that was only because the windows had been opened for Covid airing - it soon warmed up and was very cosy. Enough kitchen equipment for a week's stay, solid plate hobs a bit of a nostalgic challenge, but I knew that before booking :-) Location is excellent. Frampton is a delightful village and Wards Court is right on the Green, with lovely walks from the door. Parking wasn't a problem, we managed to get a nearby space every day. The shop is a 5 minute walk, very well stocked for a village, and is open every day until 7pm, very handy. Can recommend Ley Bistro for breakfast and the Bell for lunch, didn't try the 3 Horseshoes but heard good things about their 3shu pie. Maybe next time.

However, Mrs Philips was very friendly and helpful as were all local residents.

  • "This was a holiday for fishing."

Mrs Phillips is such a lovely lady and was always on hand if we needed anything. Her homemade jams and chutneys are a delicacy not to be missed, Bed was lovely and comfortable the flat was very clean and tidy. The only thing lacking was the weather but cannot expect anyone to control that. The 3shu pie at the pub is something every visitor should try along with the rhubarb cider. All in all a wonderful experience which made up for the fishing

  • "Wards Court 1 is set in a lovely quiet little village which is ideal as a base to visit the area."

It has one Shop which isn't overly stocked so you will need to travel further for a Supermarket, it also has a lovely Coffee Shop and 2 pubs within walking distance. The nearer pub the Three Horseshoes is a must for it's Beer & the Three Shu Pie, but it is also a bit more basic and local than the Bell. The Bell is a more popular Family Pub partly due to it's size and location, but both are worth a visit. As for the Coffee Shop next to Wards Court I'd recommend the Frampton Feast if your prefer not to cook.

  • "The flat was a good base for our days out to Gloucester, Bristol and Stroud as well as local walks along the canal."

The bed was very comfortable and the flat warm even in the cold spell we experienced on our week away. There was usually space to park outside. The local shop was a useful resource being a short walk from the flat. We loved the jam made by the owner and left for us to try. We bought more from the shop. It is a beautiful village; we needed more time to explore but left a little early to avoid the severe weather at the end of February.
