Frampton on Severn, a jewel in the Severn Valley, boasts the longest village green in England, is mentioned in the Domesday Book, and offers architecture spanning from Cruck cottages to Tudor and Georgian houses. The designated SSSI and conservation area around the village green, and the Severn Estuary, famous for its tidal bore, are a delight for wildlife enthusiasts, while the Gloucester and Sharpness canal offers course fishing, boat hire, and many stunning walks and cycle routes. Slimbridge Wetlands is a very short drive, a reserve which exists to care for, and study, ducks and geese from around the world. Also close by is the Cotswold Way, and easy road access to the beautiful spa towns of Cheltenham and Bath, and the historic waterfront city of Gloucester, boasting Roman foundations, Victorian Docklands and a spectacular Norman Cathedral.

The flat was clean and comfortable in a very nice area.

You never quite know what to expect when booking a holiday cottage - we requested non smoking, no pets/animals, twin room etc. All too often these conditions are breached by someone the week before we arrive. However, this property was spotless. Beautifully decorated and finished to a very high spec, with nice comfortable beds. There was a welcome pack which included a bottle of wine, home-made biscuits etc and milk in the fridge - just what we needed after a long trip. Thank you.

We are from South Africa and our currency does not go far. Despite this we felt the stay at our first ever Sykes let, Wards Court, was good value for money. It was comfortable, well equipped, and the owner was friendly and helpful but never intrusive! I particularly liked that she had requested guests to suggest what she could add to better equip the flat, e.g. full length mirror and then had bought these items. Really hope to be able to return. Have recommended Sykes to other South Africans visiting the UK. A lovely part of the UK.

Mr Thomas, Penzance, September 2011
A quiet, comfortable, pleasant property, that has been thoughtfully designed and presented. The village green and surrounding area were a nice surprise. The cottage is in a good location for exploring the surrounding area.
Mr Thompson, Polegate, September 2011
The location of the property was quiet and ideal for walking along the canal. Convenient to Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust. Also convenient for touring the Cotswolds or shopping in Gloucester and Cheltenham. The location was relaxing and the owner was most welcoming and helpful.
Rev McCollum, Lisburn, July 2011
The apartment was perfect for my needs, quiet and well appointed. It is very suitable for a person travelling alone as it feels safe and is comfortable. The village is delightful and there is plenty to do in the area. I would be very happy to return.
