    “This picture perfect cottage was ...”
    This picture perfect cottage was just the thing to get away from it all and relax yet it is in a position to easily explore the countryside and towns of Herefordshire which we were not familiar with. The only downside was the weather but this did not deter us from going out and about.

The property

A gorgeous award-winning hop kiln conversion, set next to the owner’s home in the village of Little Marcle, with excellent access to the town of Ledbury.

The Hop Store is set in a tranquil rural location, surrounded by beautiful countryside, making it suitable for families to enjoy with easy access to numerous villages and towns to explore.

On entering the cottage, you are greeted by an open plan living area with plenty of original features including wooden floors and beams.

There are two sumptuous sofas in front of a woodburner; an ideal place to relax in front of after a full day out and about.

There is a good sized dining table as well as a well-equipped kitchen enabling you to cook some great home-cooked food, or perhaps enjoy a takeaway from nearby Ledbury.

Upstairs there are two comfy bedrooms, one with en-suite facilities as well as a family bathroom giving great flexibility throughout.

From the living area French doors lead to an enclosed, south-facing courtyard garden with furniture, making it an ideal place to relax whilst enjoying a morning coffee or some local Westons cider.

The wooded grounds are a wildlife haven for guests to enjoy with a pond on the far side of the drive, suitable for carp fishing.

There are plenty of walks right from your front door and safe bike storage is also available.

Little Marcle is less than 20 minutes from Hereford, the beautiful Malvern Hills and the Three Counties Showground, home to a variety of events year round.

Ledbury itself is famous for its numerous black and white timbered buildings, unique shops and many traditional pubs, as well as weekly markets selling locally produced food and drink.

Many festivals can be enjoyed in the area, and lovely walks including the Herefordshire Way and Three Choirs Way, or why not visit the pretty town of Malvern, and the dramatic Malvern Hills, or take a canoe out on the River Wye?

The Hop Store is a wonderful barn conversion set in stunning countryside, making sure you have a memorable holiday at any time of the year.

Little Marcle is a village in Herefordshire, neighbouring the ancient market town of Ledbury. Little Marcle is surrounded by beautiful countryside with plenty of walks to enjoy. Newbridge Farm Park offers a great family outing (April to October) with a range of farm animals for children to feed and handle. St Bartholowmew's church in Much Marcle offers a warm welcome and boasts an ancient yew tree, 14th century tombs and Kempe stained glass windows. Ledbury itself is four miles away and is famous for its numerous timbered buildings, wide selection of locally owned shops and national poetry festival. The station with (free parking) provides excellent rail links. Other festivals from Three Choirs to Cheltenham racing can be enjoyed in the surrounding area. Nearby Eastnor Castle, hosts regular family events and has a great maze and children's palyground. The historic city of Hereford, home to the world-famous Mappa Mundi is nearby, and the beautiful ancient cities of Gloucester and Worcester are less than a 45 minutes' drive. Ten miles away , the beautiful Malvern Hills offer walks for all tastes as well as year round activities at the Three Counties Showground. Nearby Ross-on-Wye, the Forest of Dean and the stunning Wye Valley also provide numerous outdoor activities including canoeing.
