Right in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds. Not far from anywhere ,there are plenty of little villages in easy reach to explore. The host couldn't do enough , and it's the only cottage of many I have stayed in , where I have been encouraged to leave the linen in situ !!

Every thing we needed was provided, and the cottage was very clean and fresh. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom small but had everything needed. Our hosts were friendly but unobtrusive, we were made to feel welcome. This is a lovely area for a break as there are so many places nearby. On street carparking was no hassle and we discovered the red phone box book exchange close by, my husband must have read 3 novels in down time. Thank you, we hope to return soon

  • "Fabulous retreat in the quiet and friendly village of Eckington."

Hosts (Guy and Nattaya) are very welcoming and on hand if needed (but don't intrude at all). Lovely garden, with a newly-created, little fenced area for guests to use (though Guy and Nattaya were kind enough to show us round the main garden and encourage us to use that, too). The cottage was immaculate, and has everything needed for a relaxing, fully-equipped holiday. The listing warned that wi-fi can be patchy; but, with very few occasional and brief blips, we experienced no problems. Trains pass by the end of the garden, but are only noticeable because, otherwise, the only sounds are bird songs! Parking is on local roads -- but we easily found a spot (with Guy's helpful suggestion) just 20 yards or so away, which we had no problem using when we returned each evening from our excursions. This is a fabulous location for days out in the Cotswolds, or simply for hiding away from the world for a chilled, pleasant holiday. Needless to say, we shall be returning. Very highly recommended.
