This lovely, quaint village stands on the banks of the River Wye, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the wonderful Wye Valley, and borders the Royal Forest of Dean. The famous Goodrich Castle is situated within the village, a perfect example of a 12th century “Marcher Castle”. Nestling amidst the village’s picturesque houses are the delightful village hall, friendly shop and two friendly pubs serving good food. Close by, overlooking a large loop in the River Wye, is the historic market town of Ross-on-Wye, in the heart of rural Herefordshire. Previous visitors' comments about Rocklands Farm:

Mrs Ashton, Stockport, September 2011

Our hosts made us most welcome and left a good 'welcome tray'. They also checked whenever we saw them that we were satisfied, offering to change towels etc. At the same time they did not intrude. We could go into their garden and over their fields whenever we wanted. The farm is away from the road and very quiet, in spite of horses, ducks, & hens, which makes life interesting.
Mr Lyth, Wirral, September 2011

The family was extremely welcoming and The whole atmosphere was restful and the setting within the farm and being able to see the horses, pick wild mushrooms, go for lovely walks etc, was just what we wanted and needed.
Mr Nason, Bexhill-on-Sea, September 2011

We enjoyed the sole use of a very pleasant garden room for sitting at any time. We also received a friendly welcome from our hosts.
