A quiet little village situated in the midst of rolling countryside on the southern finges of The Cotswolds and close to The Cotswold Way. There is much to see and do in the immediate vicinity – National Trust’s Horton Court, a 12th Century Norman Hall, is 1 mile from the village and a wide range of amenities are available at the nearby market town of Chipping Sodbury. Badminton and Gatcombe Park (famous for their horse trials) are 3 and 10 miles away respectively. Royal Tetbury with its ancient streets is just 9 miles away and gardening enthusiasts will enjoy Westonbirt arboretum which has over 600 acres of trees and shrubs and miles of footpaths to explore. Finally, (and not to be missed) the unique city of Bath – one of the world’s three World Heritage Cities (alongside Rome and Florence) – is just 15 miles south.

Something a bit special! An idyllic detached stone built cottage situated in a wonderful rural position, next to an old bridle path and just 0.25 miles from The Cotswold Way, in the village of Horton. The building has had a variety of uses over its history – a wheelwright’s workshop, a carpenter’s shop – and has been carefully renovated to a high standard whilst retaining many original features such as wonderful old pitch pine beams in the vaulted sitting room. The owners live nearby and personally welcome visitors. The cottage makes a superb base for walking and touring this southern part of The Cotswolds. Tetbury is 9 miles and Bath just 15 miles away.
