Hereford 8 miles; Leominster 8 miles.
Perfectly located between Hereford and Leominster, the pleasant village of Bodenham rests close to the River Lugg and offers a village shop, a lovely golf course and a range of excellent eateries, including an England's Gate Inn and a Michelin Star restaurant just 2 miles away. The beautiful surrounding countryside is renowned for its many species of birds, with the banks of the charming River Lugg designated as a Site of Scientific Interest. The nearby cathedral town of Hereford dates back to Saxon times and boasts a medieval bridge situated over the winding River Wye and the famous Mappa Mundi, the largest and most elaborate pre 15th century map in existence. The half-timbered town of Leominster with its medieval buildings is also within easy reach, whilst Symonds Yat, a rocky outcrop on the River Wye offers spectacular views and, for the lucky visitor, an opportunity to spot a Peregrine Falcon flying from its nest. A great location with plenty to see and do!

Previous visitors' comments about Orpington:
The studio is a perfect retreat to help one find peace within. The surroundings are what you make of them. Alone, I found my retreat to be an awakening - as I intended.
