Location: Caynham

Ludlow 3 miles; Church Stretton 15 miles.

This historic, picturesque village lies in the heart of the beautiful South Shropshire countryside and is set amidst renowned scenic walking and cycling country. The village's outstanding landmark is Caynham Camp, a huge Bronze Age/Iron Age earthwork which covers a site of eight acres at the summit, from which wonderful views can be enjoyed. Only 3 miles away is Ludlow, whose medieval street pattern remains almost intact, and provides a fascinating backdrop for the town's regular street markets, held in the shadow of the castle. Ludlow is renowned for its shopping, and has several Michelin-starred restaurants, as well as numerous tea-shops, pubs and inns. Below the 900 year old castle, the Linney Riverside Park offers boats for hire, a putting green and children's play area. Within easy reach of Church Stretton, Shrewsbury and Hereford, as well as popular attractions such as Ironbridge Gorge, Severn Valley Railway, Berrington Hall and Cardingmill Valley, Ludlow is a superb destination for a relaxing break.

Previous visitors' comments about Glebe Barn:

A very convenient cottage, well equipped and comfortable.
Mr Shepherd, Milton Keynes, December 2011

The cottage was amazing. There was plenty of room for all of us without feeling crowded. It was brilliant to have stairgates already installed and, although we didn't need to use the cot, it was very good quality.
Mrs Stevens, Luton, September 2011

The owners were really helpful and accommodating. The location was excellent and the barn conversion was impressive.
Mrs Davies, Sunderland, July 2011

We were absolutely delighted by this cottage for our family of 6 adults and a baby. There was plenty of room to be comfortable and we loved our dinners round the large table. It is set in a beautiful area with plenty of things to do. The owners were very friendly and helpful with good recommendations for restaurants.
