On a chilly evening, curl up with a good book in the sitting room as the woodburner blazes, or in the summer, dine alfresco in the front garden after an energetic game of tennis. Take a short walk from your Warwickshire cottage to the village of Ettington which boasts a pub and a restaurant, or hike a little further on the Centenary Way or Shakespeare's Way, both easily accessible. Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, unspoilt Cotswolds villages and many National Trust properties are also within easy reach from this Warwickshire cottage, making it a great holiday base at any time of year.

Stratford-upon-Avon 6.5 miles; Warwick 11 miles; Royal Leamington Spa 12 miles.

The thriving village of Ettington lies in beautiful Warwickshire countryside and boasts two lovely pubs and a village shop. The village is recognised as both a Saxon and Roman settlement; the Fosse Way roman road is close by, and many buildings date back to the 17th century. Ettington is just 6.5 miles south of the market town Stratford-upon-Avon, which dates back to medieval times, and is the home of William Shakespeare. The town boasts many historic buildings including Shakespeare's birthplace and Anne Hathaway's cottage, The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, many traditional pubs, excellent restaurants and individual shops, as well as boat hire and cruises along the River Avon. The beautiful National Trust house at Charlecote Park is well worth a visit with its stunning gardens and Capability Brown Deer Park, as are the medieval castles at Kenilworth and Warwick. Also within easy reach are the Cotswold villages of Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh making this a great holiday destination for a memorable holiday at any time of year.

Really peaceful, had a family reunion, everyone enjoyed the cottage, including the grandchildren, so many toys to play with indoors. Great size and clean with plenty of homely bits and pictures. Great log fire for the cooler evenings, so really snug.
