The property

This charming and quintessentially English country cottage is superbly located on a private estate once owner by Henry VIII, on the edge of the splendid Windsor Great Park, and offers delightful views of Windsor Castle.

Victorian Lodge is a perfect retreat for families and friends wanting to savour the tranquillity and beauty of the surrounding area, but with the added benefit of having easy access links to London and the many attractions nearby.

The whole of this wonderful and cosy ground floor cottage is furnished to a very high standard with luxury and comfort in mind throughout.

The beautiful and stylish sitting room has plenty of comfortable seating for all and includes a lovely window seat and a large open fire, ideal for relaxing in front of after a busy day of sightseeing.

The well-equipped kitchen includes a small breakfast table, a useful utility room and has splendid countryside views towards Windsor Castle.

There are three comfortable and beautifully dressed bedrooms, with the master bedroom benefiting from an en-suite bathroom, in addition to the spacious family bathroom.

Outside there is a pretty garden with a lovely pergola, the perfect spot for dining alfresco whilst enjoying the stunning views and watching the owners’ horses graze in their paddock.

The entrance into the Great Park is just a five minute walk away, and provides plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, including leisurely walks in the famous Valley or Savill Gardens, cycling, horse riding, watching a few chukkas being played at the Guards Polo Club, or simply relaxing by one of the lakes.

After a day in the park, why not stop off for a well-earned drink at the Fox and Hounds, a traditional English pub situated by the Bishops Gate entrance, which also serves great food.

With all the delights that Windsor has to offer, as well as Thorpe Park, LEGOLAND and London all within easy reach, Victorian Lodge provides all the ingredients for a truly memorable holiday and will have you returning time and time again.

Old Windsor is a large village adjoining the River Thames in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and was the oldest Saxon town in Berkshire and the seat of Edward the Confessor. It includes within its boundaries most of Windsor Great Park, parts of which are open for public enjoyment including The Savill Garden, Virginia Water, The Valley Gardens and the Long Walk and Deer Park. There are a number of good pubs nearby serving excellent food, and on the outskirts of the village is the Windsor Farm Shop, stocking a range of products from the Royal Farms and small local specialist suppliers. Nearby Windsor with its castle, a residence of the British Royal Family is just 3 miles away and the attractions of LEGOLAND, Thorpe Park and Ascot Racecourse are also close at hand.
