The property

The Barn at Daubeneys offers open-plan living in the heart of a beautiful village surrounded by countryside views to admire, making it a lovely destination for a family or a group of friends.

If you don't fancy cooking nearby eateries include The Fox & Hounds for hearty pub grub, the beautiful White Hart at Ford or The Walled Garden at the luxurious Lucknam Park.

Venture further afield and head to Bath to the ancient Roman Baths with a guided tour, take in the stunning historic Abbey or take a walk along Pulteney Bridge.

The local area boasts some stunning villages and towns such Castle Coombe, often voted the prettiest village in England, Corsham with its lovely high street with plenty of pubs, cafes and shops, Lacock and Dyrham with their National Trust properties, beautiful Bradford on Avon and the pleasant market towns of Devizes and Chippenham.

Bristol is just 30 minutes away but has plenty to do for another great day out for everyone.

Bristol Harbourside is home to Brunel’s SS Great Britain, lots of amazing pubs and restaurants, or even take a Banksy walking tour.

Or visit the Bristol Aquarium, Bristol Zoo Project and Aerospace Bristol museum.

Where you’ll be staying

COLERNE

Corsham 5.5 miles; Chippenham 8 miles; Bath 8 miles.

The village of Colerne is situated in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in west Wiltshire, very close to the spot where the three counties of Wiltshire, Somerset and Gloucestershire meet, so the perfect location to explore all three counties within easy reach of highlights such as Stonehenge, Avebury, Salisbury, Cheddar Gorge, Westonbirt Arboretum plus easy access to the centre of the Cotswolds.

The village has two pubs The Fox and Hounds and The Six Bells, two shops, a Post Office and a village pop up café which is open Wednesdays and Fridays. The cakes are not to be missed but they do a very good breakfast as well. The Six Bells often has pop up food trucks which offer delicious food at the weekends. There are regular buses to nearby Bath from the village, but Bath’s Park and Ride is also easily accessible. The local walks from the doorstep are stunning and plentiful for keen walkers or just to stroll with dogs.
