Thank you for your feedback. It would be very helpful to know in a little more detail why you felt we were below our usual high standard. I recall that we were on holiday at the beginning of your stay and wondered if this had a negative effect. Cottage very comfortable and as described. Easy parking directly outside cottage. Made to feel welcome from the outset.Provided with a 'welcome pack' on arrival. Prior to supplying this Peter , co-host, checked out our dietary needs. This reflects the hosts' consideration for their guests and attention to detail. Also on arrival Peter provided a comprehensive 'tour' and explanation of how to get the best use out of the cottage facilities. During our stay there was a minor issue with one of the lights. This was attended to very promptly. In summary, an excellent experience . Peter and Diane are attentive and welcoming hosts. Would have no hesitation in returning or on recommending to others. Thankyou Peter and Diane !

The garden is full of colour. We were lucky enough to have lots of sunshine and so spent time at the table outside of the house, but even on the two cooler nights, the summerhouse was a great retreat. The bedroom is airy, with two windows, and full of birdsong in the mornings with the windows open. Peter and Diane could not have been more helpful and considerate. The cottage was amazing like going back in time on an evening sitting in front of the fire place was like being at the black country museum and the bedroom was that quirky with the floor on and angle and the feeling you were going to roll out of bed but this made the holiday. With the bathroom being on the ground floor I wouldn't recommend people who have trouble walking because the stairs are awkward to come down in the night. Harvington village is like a picture off a chocolate box beautiful. We had a really relaxing and enjoyable break. Unfortunately the award winning CAMRA pub has recently shut down so you may need to update the website to remove that. Real shame as it is literally 50 yards from the cottage. The property would benefit from a larger fridge as if you are staying for a week you can’t get much food in the fridge. None of the above spoilt our time there though and we would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone looking for accommodation in the area. Very homely and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. The fishing at the end of the lane was a real bonus. We also had a great day at Stratford races during our stay which is only a 15 minute drive away.

Here are just a few: • the hosts were extremely friendly. We turned up much later than planned and they were nothing but courteous about it. Their goodbye text was a really nice touch and mentioned our daughter which always gains a gold star in our eyes • nice touches are a theme in the cottage. Fresh flowers in rooms, welcome pack of homemade marmalade, cake, eggs etc which all tased delicious and from a local farm • accuracy of their property. It did exactly what it said on the tin withheld no nasty surprises. The cottage is so beautifully quaint with a very vibrant and pretty garden is was hard to leave and do things outside of the cottage • the village itself was super friendly. We attended the local flower festival in the church next door where you think we’d have loved there all our lives. The pub across the road the coach and horses were the same where we had some good chats about their local ale and tasted their amazing food • location wise we were smack bang where you need to be if you want to visit all the local villages in the Cotswolds, all just a short 20-40min drive. These were villages like Bourton on the water, Broadway, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow on the wold, Stratford, Cheltenham and many more • Sykes as a company sent some useful info through on emails as well and reminders of what we needed to do on the build up to the holiday All in all very impressed and will definitely visit Apple Tree Cottage again. You can see the church steeple from your window, there is a fantastic pub practically across the street. We were there during all the Christmas festivities and Santa and his sleigh came through the village on one of the evenings we were in.
