  • "A lovely comfortable property only a short walk into Stratford-upon-Avon town centre."

There's everything you need and we discovered an iron and ironing board in an upstairs cupboard (which has a stiff door) in the double bed room. We would have found different coloured towels useful so that you can tell them apart, but this is a detail. The garden at the back is lovely and sunny. We had a very enjoyable stay.

All the Shakespearean attractions are within easy reach, as are the many pubs and restaurants. The fact that we could book dates we wanted, rather than Friday to Friday, or Saturday to Saturday was a bonus.

A ten minute walk from the centre of Stratford upon Avon, a ridiculously beautiful town, bustling and vibrant. The only criticisms we have are:- Pillows were very thin. Towels are old and need replacing. We had a wonderful week that passed by way too quickly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week thanks to comfortable beds and settees, a well equipped kitchen and pleasant bedrooms. Having the bathroom on the ground floor took a bit of getting used to but we were glad of the washing machine There are plenty of mugs and glasses but more dinner plates are needed. All in all, a lovely compact cottage as shown in the listing.

  • "The cottage was as advertised."

The place was the cleanest property have been in so far. Close to the Town Centre. TV crackled a little when watching it. Was a standard TV about 15 years old, no TV guide on TV and no other channels was added to the TV. Only standard channels, such as BBC and ITV. Knives were blunt when preparing vegetables. Oven old, and took some getting accustomed to using. Hob was good to use. Heating was good and property warm.

Thermostat did not appear to work. No internet for some of our stay but apparently this was an ISP problem. Apart from this it is a great location. Parking permit is available, this was not made clear initially. Comfy little cottage. Would recommend for summer months.

Not far from river and RSC. House was very clean and comfy beds. Nice fluffy towels to use. Really enjoyed having an outside space to sit and relax in. Thoughtful and very welcome touches were having tea/coffee/sugar/milk and a pack of biscuits waiting for us. Felt able to relax immediately after a long journey. Lovely base to explore the beautiful town of Stratford upon Avon.

Very clean and well equipped. Advertised as small but still adequate space even for 4 adults. We even had good enough weather to sit in the garden which proved to be a real sun trap. Owner was very pleasant and informative especially regarding parking when contacted to arrange key collection and even went out of her way to get back in touch with us when she discovered the cottage would be ready earlier than originally advised which was very much appreciated. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

  • "We were comfortable in the property, and it is in a great location for all amenities."

We parked up for the week and walked everywhere. It's a nice walk into the town and surrounding attractions. Not too close for noise from bars/pubs/restaurants but close enough for a quick stroll, around 10mins if that. It was the cleanest property we have ever stayed in. There were things at the property that thought of the visitor, like kitchen cleaning products and 2 towels each for the whole family for the bathroom. There were tea towels and tea/coffee making products and other useful items too. A nice little welcome milk and cookies was a lovely touch. The TV was much smaller than we are used to, but this didn't trouble us too much. The bed wasn't the best, unfortunately, and after all that walking, a good night's sleep was a must. My husband is 6ft3+, so the double bed was not to his liking but we made it work. My teens in the other room were happy with bed comfort though. Heather was a great host and Lisa/Bex were incredible housekeepers. My son forgot his wallet bag and Lisa and Bex were too kind to hand-deliver it to us instead of posting. We are in Bedfordshire!!! I would definitely recommend and can't wait to return

Did not appreciate being ranted at by the owner even after several apologies given for picking up car parking permit before 5 o clock

I gave the guest the keysafe number earlier than I should have done, assuming she would respect the starting time of her holiday. like everyone else.. she arrived early and I spoke on the phone to tell her the cleaner had not been in yet. she had the audacity to go into the kitchen when she arrived at about 11 and left a note to the cleaner to say she needed to park her car, so had taken the parking permit. How dare she be so utterly thoughtless and self centred.??!! THank goodness she left, so didn't stay Property Owner

About 10 minutes. It was clean, and well kitted out. However the sofas are worn out, and so uncomfortable. I would say the springs have gone, and should be replaced. It is also tiny, so you do need to get on if there are more than 4 of you. We found that we spent more time out, even evenings, than in.

We hope to return soon. People were very friendly and there was lots to see and do. Highlights were Shakespeare’s school rooms and Mary Arden’s Farm. Pinecote is a cosy, well equipped, cottage within walking distance of the town. It is not luxurious, some of the furnishings were a little shabby, but we found it comfortable and relaxing. The coffee, tea and biscuits provided were a nice touch, as were the cleaning supplies and dish cloths. Enough kitchen equipment is provided to prepare a full meal, should you feel that way inclined. We were very happy with the cottage and would not hesitate to stay there again.

The excellent variety of local pubs and restaurants provided a great choice of menus. Public transport was good - especially the convenience of the city tour bus giving the opportunity to explore places further afield. Pinecote is in a great situation, just 5-10 min walk to town centre. Parking permit was great too. Guests should be aware bathroom is downstairs. Shower not working while we there but there was plenty of hot water and lovely bath. House was lovely and warm too, especially welcome as it was weekend of snow storm. Only grumble would be owner wants you out by 10, which is early for self catering. We were tidying up and sure enough owner arrived at 10:10to strip beds, we therefore got stuff together and left. Apart from this, lovely stay, thank you.
