We received a very warm welcome from the owners who lived just to the rear of the cottage in a beautiful house. Both properties stood in private grounds very close to Anne Hathaway's cottage. The cottage was spacious, nicely furnished and decorated and had everything required for a comfortable stay. It is possible to walk into the centre of Stratford on a very nice flat and easy path, taking approximately 15 minutes, which means of course that there is no problem with parking. There is a pub just 5 minutes walk away which serves good food at reasonable prices. There is an abundance of eating places at all prices in Stratford. Most of the historical places of interest are within walking distance, although some can be expensive. Whilst staying here, we visited Bath, Oxford and Warwick Castle (highly recommended !) and also did some walking in the Black Mountains near to Brecon. This is by far the best cottage we have stayed in, in every respect, and I cannot think of anything that we didn't like. I would unreservedly recommend this property.
Stratford-upon-Avon 1.5 miles.
The historic village of Shottery occupies a peaceful setting in the rolling Warwickshire countryside, just over a mile from the fine market town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Renowned as the birthplace of Anne Hathaway, this pretty location boasts many black and white thatched cottages, a popular restaurant and a welcoming inn serving real ales and delicious food. Shakespeare's Stratford is within easy reach, with its famous theatre, striking architecture, characterful shops and pubs and lovely, riverside walks, whilst the medieval castles at nearby Kenilworth and Warwick are not to be missed. Visit the splendid National Trust house at Charlecote Park with its graceful gardens, intriguing maze and Capability Brown Deer Park. Alternatively, place a bet at Warwick Racecourse, or simply explore the many surrounding Cotswold towns and hamlets this stunning area has to offer.

Previous visitors' comments about Rith Chalet:
What a wonderful find. Rith Chalet is situated in a fantastic location and is absolutely superb. The owners were the most genuine, friendly, helpful couple and the bottle of wine left for when we arrived was very much appreciated. This is by far the best cottage we have stayed in and we will be returning next year.

The garden of this property was excellent, very secure for children as there is security gates to property. The owners of the property are very friendly and helpful. The Bell Pub is good value and the food good.
Mr & Mrs Garwood, Norwich, June 2010
The warmth and friendliness of the owners, the chalet was particularly well kitted out and the garden was huge. Having a secure entrance was very comforting. There was plenty to do in the area, but having the peace of the chalet to come back to was very welcome.
Mrs Brightwell, Carshalton, June 2010
A lovely cottage with a beautiful large garden. Very nice welcome from the owners. Great place to explore from and so lovely to have breakfast outside everyday. Very good size accommodation and felt very safe for our daughter to run around in the garden. Will definitely book again.
