The small hamlet of Feakle is home to one of Clare’s most popular traditional music festivals each year and is surrounded by rich, green countryside, ideal for walking and cycling enthusiasts alike. Within easy reach of your Feakle cottage are many worthwhile attractions such as Lough Derg, where lake cruises are frequent, the popular village of Killaloe which was once the capital of Ireland and is home to heritage, culture and tradition, and the medieval old town of Ennis where you can spend an afternoon meandering the streets and dipping in and out of charming boutiques and cafes. The quaint village of Feakle lies amongst the rolling countryside of east County Clare. Steeped in history, the village is famous for its annual traditional music festival where the biggest names descend on Feakle each August. Close to the towns of Scarriff and Tulla, Feakle is near to many walking trails and Lough Derg which has a wide variety of activities and attractions. There are many excellent fishing spots in the area and the cities of Limerick and Galway are easily reached, as is Shannon airport.
