  • "I can't recommend Flynn's Cottage highly enough."

The bungalow is lovely and the view is amazing. Very well positioned for exploring the Co. Clare coast. If WiFi internet connectivity is important to you (it was for me), then don't worry, great connection. The owner Paddy is a lovely man and willing to help and advise in any way he can. We had a great stay and will be going back. Highly recommended.

Cottage was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with everything we needed. Beautiful setting, surrounded by Fresian cows and the sea. Our hosts were charming and gracious and make us want to return. Couldn’t have wanted a more lovely experience. Leslie and Bill

  • "The cottage was clean comfortable and very well equipped."

The tea making supplies were a very welcome touch after a long journey. However, I will NEVER use Hogan's Cottages again. When booking, I booked for the wrong dates. I realised my mistake within minutes, and changed my booking immediately . Hogans had the audacity to charge me 20 pounds for this. This is blatant profiteering and does nothing for your reputation as a fair, customer friendly business. I would book Flynns cottage again if its possible to book it through any other agency, beu NOT with Hogans.

  • "Paddy Flynn is a great host."

He was very welcoming and he has lots of useful information about the locality which he shares easily. He was available immediately when we needed his attention to get the workings of the heating system. I feel that Hogan’s website should have a photo of the outside of the property. This property is part of a working farm and in my view is not a traditional cottage in the strict sense of the term as used for holiday cottages.

  • "Arrived later than planned due to the Dublin Swift crossing being cancelled but owner kindly left the cottage door unlocked and came by to check we were OK."

Milk in the fridge was very welcomed as we're the biscuits! Thank you. The property itself is so much bigger than it looks on the profile, it's wonderful! Sadly it was a cold and wet week so we were very grateful for the heating and the open fire in the lounge. Owner is very knowledgeable and recommended places to visit and restaurants to eat at. One in particular was very good but very expensive but I guess its still a good experience. We prebooked a medieval dinner at Knappogue Castle which was awesome and I can recommend the evening! Bearing in mind I am a disabled traveller the cottage worked really well for me and I would chose to stay again. Maybe with some sunshine next time eh Paddy!

  • "What delightful owners of this property so welcoming extremely helpful with local knowledge and little anecdotes that made our holiday here very special."

Nothing was too much trouble even our bikes! They were there if you wanted anything, didn’t encroach on our holiday just added to it. I thought this location wouldn’t be that interesting But it was the perfect spot to investigate the area in every direction. We loved the expanse of The Burren, finding Father Teds house, the Cliffs of Moher, the incredible beautiful beaches and bike rides along the coast from the house. A superb weeks holiday thank you very much Sandra & John

About the location

QUILTY, COUNTY CLARE

Miltown Malbay 3.6 miles; Spanish Point 2.8 miles; Lahinch 11 miles.

Quilty is an attractive seaside resort with local charm, providing a seafood restaurant, a pub, a supermarket and sea fishing. The nearby pretty town of Miltown Malbay is located close to the Atlantic coast in County Clare, and is only an hour from Shannon Airport. Famed for its traditional Irish music, it is home to the Willie Clancy music festival, which is held in July, however visitors will find fabulous live music in many pubs and bars whatever the time of year. Miltown Malbay is close to some excellent beach resorts including Spanish Point and Doonbeg, both of which are well worth a visit for their relaxed vibe and great surf. The Burren National Park to the north of the town is a mecca for walkers and nature lovers with its unique geological landscapes and rich colourful wildflowers, and to the south you will find the striking 'Cliffs of Moher', which rise majestically out of the ocean and are best appreciated from one of many boat trips departing nearby.
