To the front of this property is a pretty enclosed garden and to the rear, through the sliding doors in the living area, are pure, uninterrupted, countryside views so you can enjoy a refreshing drink after a full day of sightseeing. The quiet fishing village of Tulla nestles amongst excellent lakes and rich, green countryside and has been a magnet for anglers from all over. Tulla neighbours the old town of Ennis and is a hub for live music, superb restaurants and traditional buildings. A friendly, warm welcome is guaranteed in Ennis and it is a great place to meet the locals. From this cottage you can see plenty of Clare's attractions including the Cliffs of Moher; majestic cliffs that rise out of the Atlantic and known for being Ireland's premier attraction, plus a ten minute drive away is Bunratty Castle, Craggaunowen, a archaeological open air museum and Knappogue Castle. The seaside villages of Liscannor and Lahinch boast some stunning views for drives and for walking and there are also surfing schools and tasty seafood restaurants. For your inner geologist, there is The Burren, a spectacular limestone landscape boasting some of the most interesting plants, most of which only grow in hot climates! The Burren offers some of West Clare's most delightful walking routes so make sure to bring your boots. This Tulla cottage is an excellent base for your Clare getaway.

Tulla, or An Tullach, meaning 'hill' is a town in east County Clare, and is famous for its numerous lakes and fantastic fishing opportunities, as well as its live music. Nearby, the old town of Ennis with its meandering streets and lively market square is a great place to pick up a unique souvenir from one of the boutiques, or enjoy a sumptuous meal in one of the tantalising restaurants. There are many fantastic days out within easy travelling distance of Tulla, including the majestic Cliffs of Moher, which rise out of the Atlantic far below, Aillwee Cave, Ireland's premier show cave, Bunratty Castle and Folk Park where you can turn back time and experience Ireland in days gone by, and 15th century Knappogue Castle and Gardens, a magnificent medieval round tower and castle with walled gardens. Other places of interest in County Clare include scenic Killaloe, Lough Derg, the famous Cullaun Lake, home to the Cullaun Sailing Club, the old, historic market town of Gort and the city of Limerick, which boasts King’s John’s Castle and Thomond Park, home to Munster Rugby Club.
