This superbly elevated, semi-detached cottage nestles in the charming seaside village of Guileen, a few miles from the coastal village of Whitegate in County Cork. This County Cork cottage has wonderful views from the first floor, and offers three bedrooms, one with a quaint original fireplace. The kitchen diner comes fully equipped with all mod cons, and captures all of the sun's rays through its door leading to the sun room. The charming sitting room is the perfect place to cuddle up with a good book in front of the multi-fuel stove. Outside this County Cork cottage you are met with views of rolling hills and fields, and the glimmer of the Atlantic Ocean. Why not relax on the enclosed patio and take in these views whilst enjoying a refreshing drink? Guileen has a traditional harbour, where you can see the local anglers land their catch during the season. There is a beach within 5 minutes' walk of the cottage, while 40 minutes' drive away is the famous city of Cork where you can experience tradition, history and fantastic Irish culture in all forms, or the seaside resort of Youghal is also within easy reach and makes a fantastic day trip.

The charming, picturesque coastal village of Guileen is in a quiet and beautiful setting, and has a long and colourful past. Its nautical traditions and stunning views are what the residents of Guileen take their pride in. Guileen, on the south east coast of Cork, is home to one of many delightful beaches that are found on the coast between Roches Point and Youghal. The village has a pub (the Guileen Arms), with an active sea angling club and regular music sessions. Nearby Whitegate has two pubs, one which serves food, and a Chinese restaurant, along with a state of the art playground that the kids will just love. Each year, Whitegate hosts the Cork ‘Small Boat Festival', a popular angling competition where each contestant brings their own boat. The competition sees over 40 species of fish caught each year. The area offers some stunning walking routes for you to stretch your legs, including the well-known People’s Path, which links all the seaside villages along the coast. For the adventurous there are sea kayaking and surfing lessons on Inch Beach 2 miles east of Guileen.
