Take a trip to the Glenveagh National Park, a wild and rugged landscape, and conquer Mount Errigal, Donegal’s tallest mountain, or explore the Wild Atlantic Way, where you can take in spectacular coastlines with hidden coves and spotless beaches aplenty, and where the Fanad Head Lighthouse can be found just half an hour's drive away. The quiet town of Millford lies close to the shores of Mulroy Bay in County Donegal. The town gets its name from an elite class of mercenaries, the Gallowglass, who fought in a battle on a hill just outside the town. Millford has many amenities including shops, pubs, a library and a health centre, plus it's situated just twelve miles from Donegal’s largest town, Letterkenny, and within easy reach are a variety of beaches including Portsalon and Rathmullan. The Wild Atlantic Way also runs close by taking in all the beautiful panoramas of the Irish coastline, and the Glenveagh National Park and city of Derry are within driving distance.
