This Kilcar cottage features three quaint bedrooms, a bright and airy kitchen and a homely sitting room complete with woodburning stove and lovely views across Curris towards Teelin and Slieve League. Outside this Kilcar cottage, there's a fine patio area and front garden where picnics can be enjoyed on fine days whilst making the most of the glorious views and soaking in the peace and quiet that comes as standard in this wonderful location. The magnificent Slieve League Cliffs, the highest sea cliffs in Europe, are just a short drive away, and experienced walkers can make the most of the breathtaking views by heading out across the top towards the village of Glencolumbkille. There is also a beautiful, unspoilt sandy beach just 15 minutes' walk from your Kilcar cottage with safe swimming available, and Fr. McDyer's famous Glencolmcille Folk village, one of Ireland's best living-history museums, is just a fifteen-minute drive away. The village of Kilcar is also a short drive away and has a selection of shops and pubs where a friendly greeting is assured. Traditional music is a feature of many of the local taverns, and visitors will truly feel that they've experienced authentic Irish culture. Further afield, why not pick up the catch of the day in the fishing town of Killybegs, or even take to the waves yourself to see what bites? There's also a lot of shore, river and lake fishing available locally. The towns of Donegal, Ardara and Glenties are also within driving distance as well as Narin-Portnoo for the golfers in the family. The village sits in an area of stunning natural beauty with spectacular views of Slieve League Cliffs and Muckross Head, and there are several fabulous beaches for swimming and surfing available locally. The village has a rich history in Tweed weaving and textiles with local products available for purchase. The towns of Killybegs and Donegal are also close by.
