The village of Riverstown lies at a bridging point of the River Unshin, in west Ireland, and is home to the famous Sligo Folk Park. Here, you can turn back time and experience true rural, Irish heritage, with the help of their very own farmyard. A 15 minute drive will take you to Strandhill beach, ideal for surfing, or Lough Key Forest Park and its wildlife, historic buildings and evocative islands; discover the Tree Canopy Walk and get a bird's eye view of the park, spot wildlife including fallow deer, foxes, hares and red squirrels, or explore the Boda Borg, an intriguing game with 47 rooms of fun-filled activities, imaginative puzzles and enjoyable tasks, ideal for all ages. A little further afield lies Ballymote with course fishing, a golf course and its historic castle, and within touring distance is Dublin.
