  • "Amazing cottage, everything we needed was provided."

Cosy comfortable authentic Irish feel. Ideally situated close to local pub, beaches and a 20 minute drive to town. Hosts are a lovely local couple who were a pleasure to meet, didnt bother us at all yet were on hand to support with tourist information and local amenities. I have stayed in many places across England & Ireland over the last 15 years and this was by far my most relaxing comfortable stay of all. There are not many authentic Irish cottages left and this one is a credit to the owners, thank you so much for everything our stay here was a little piece of tranquility and heaven for 7 days

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Forth Mountain house - we were two couples using the cottage as a tour base for a week's holiday."

It was well situated, very clean and the beds were really comfortable. The garden is gorgeous. Pauline was a lovely host and even offered to taxi us to a local pub if we needed it, but we found that there is an excellent pub within 10 minutes walk. Thank you for a really enjoyable stay.

Back to basic met ontzettend vriendelijke eigenaren die alles voor je willen doen om je verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. De bedden zijn alleen wel een beetje erg smal voor volwassenen.

Friendly and helpful landlord, garden like a little park, nice pub in a walking distance. The only thing which was not perfect were the roads to the house. Ho matter which direction, you drive the last few miles on a washboard.

  • "Our stay at this charming little cottage in south-east Ireland was absolutely delightful."

The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They even offered to drive us to the supermarket and the pub, which was a very thoughtful gesture. The cottage itself was lovely and very traditional, with a rustic wood-burning stove that added to the cozy atmosphere. The furnishings were comfortable and tasteful, and I really appreciated the attention to detail throughout the space. From the little touches like fresh flowers on the table to the well-equipped kitchen, it was clear that the hosts take great pride in their property and in providing a top-notch guest experience. The location was also perfect - a quiet and peaceful spot that was still convenient to local attractions and amenities. I enjoyed exploring the surrounding countryside and nearby towns, and always looked forward to returning to the cottage at the end of the day to relax and unwind. Overall, we would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a memorable stay Ireland. The hosts were wonderful, the cottage was cozy and charming, and the location was perfect for exploring this beautiful part of the country. We can not wait to return someday!

Great as a base for exploring County Wexford/Waterford. You will need a car though. The Dorans, who live on the same plot, are a lovely, friendly couple. They are there if you need them, but are not intrusive. Thanks.

  • "Hosts were very friendly, and great location for exploring Wexford and surrounding areas."

Cottage was very clean throughout and we couldn't fault anything here. Kitchen was reasonably fitted out, but would have liked to have had a sieve to use and a larger frying pan. Some of the finer details were lacking, like the finishing on the paint work and coordination in the bedrooms. We also felt the layout in the lounge and limited seating did affect the comfort, as well as the temperature in the bathroom (seemed very bold all the time). Otherwise, great stay and reasonably priced.
