Enjoy a day out at Brittas Bay; as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and proud owner of numerous Blue Flag awards, this pretty, unspoilt beach and its surrounding coastline offer beautiful landscapes and 5km of sand dunes to explore, not to mention perfect conditions for sailing, walking and sunbathing! Wicklow Gaol, one of the most haunted places in Ireland and Powerscourt House and Gardens are only a short drive away, try sailing on the Lacken Reservoir, or take a day trip in to vibrant Dublin and visit the Guinness Storehouse and Gravity Bar, the highest bar in Ireland, Kilmainham Gaol, Ireland's most famous prison, or Dublin Castle. Ashford 3 miles. Situated on the owner's working livestock farm in the townland of Rathmore, 3 miles from the village of Ashford, County Wicklow. Framed by the beauty of Rathmore Country House, the owner has crafted their own private townland in the expansive grounds, comprising 32 well-appointed Ashford self-catering cottages varying in size, style and layout. No. 1 The Byre is a three bedroomed, two storey, stone-built cottage, the former calf shed, and features a spiral staircase, eaves bedroom and its own outside space, while Suite no. 3 is a cosy studio apartment set entirely over the first floor. All of the owner's properties, two of which are bookable through Hogans Cottages, are situated around a Georgian courtyard and benefit from the use of the on-site gym, children's playground, BBQ area, football pitch and running track. Central to the majority of Wicklow's tourist attractions, and with Dublin so tantalisingly close, there are endless possibilities from these lovely Ashford cottages.
