    It was very well equipped. The only thing that might be helpful to less mobile guests would be hand rails in the shower and toilet areas. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

    They were friendly, welcoming and left us a lovely cream tea on arrival. The cottage itself was much bigger than it looked in the photos and the wet room was just ideal. I use a wheelchair and I have to say that the accessible area was the best I have had in any holiday home. Both entrys easily gained. Everything you need is here in this cottage, together with the beautiful location. What more do you want? We will be coming back as soon as possible.

    Elaine gave me a warm welcome as did Ben the sheepdog. There was a lovely cream tea on arrival. The cottage was home from home, everything had been thought of and there was every comfort. The fully enclosed garden was perfect for Toffee, my dog. We enjoyed various walks from the door. It was a lovely relaxing holiday and so nice to park the car, unpack it and forget it. I highly recommend a stay here.

    Everything we want wanted and more. On arrival we were greeted with tea, coffee, scones, jam and clotted cream. The owners of the cottage were a wonderful couple and they couldn't do enough for us. The cottage is ideally situated on a working farm with lovely views. We had a lovely week there with prefect weather and my two springer spaniels had loads of fun. Highly recommend.

The cottage was well located to visit Exmoor, MInehead, Barnstaple, Ilfracombe and Bideford. There is a dog-friendly beach at Saunton Sands, north of Barnstaple, which has miles of sandy beach to explore off the lead.

The outdoor space was fully enclosed and perfect for our dogs. It’s very well positioned to go out and about to see lots of local sites. Hopefully we will be able to have a return visit. The property

This delightful detached single-storey barn conversion has an open plan living area, double bedroom and bathroom.

The wide doorways and laminated wooden floors throughout make it ideal for wheelchair users, and the bathroom has a shower with seat and handrails making it easier to use for the less able.

There is one sofa and 2 reclining chairs both faux leather, and modern furnishings, giving a welcoming feel and the wonderful countryside views give a sense of peace and relaxation.

Poadmarsh Farm Cottages

South Molton 6 miles. These two detached holiday cottages are situated on the owners’ working sheep farm, on the edge of Exmoor, and close to the market town of South Molton in Devon. Approached along a private lane, the original 18th century barn conversions have been renovated with much care to provide a welcoming and comfortable home from home. Both of these delightful cottages provide a convenient base for families and friends who wish to explore the wonderful Exmoor National Park and North Devon coast. Jack’s Nest is all on one level and may be suitable for less able guests with fabulous views across the farm meadows, providing a quiet setting for a holiday for two within this part of Devon. Owl’s Nest on the other hand is a two-storey cottage sleeping four people. This welcoming cottage is surrounded by green meadows and has far reaching views towards Exmoor, making it a peaceful place to stay. Outside, both cottages have their own enclosed lawned garden and BBQ area. The friendly owners welcome guests to lend a hand on the farm, so why not have a go at bottle feeding the new born lambs in springtime or discover the footpaths that lead from the farm through the lovely landscape providing easy walks from your door. The location is perfect for those who would like to explore the area; with Exmoor just across the valley you can enjoy a variety of landscapes, exhilarating walks, an abundance of wildlife and cosy pubs. The stunning North Devon coastline is just a 30 minute drive and offers rocky coves; sandy beaches and everything in-between; surfing, hiking, rook pooling, crabbing or simply relaxing! A 10-minute drive takes you to the town of South Molton, with its well-known pannier market selling local produce, Quince Honey, a family run working bee farm, Melchior Chocolates and a good selection of independent shops, pubs and cafés. SOUTH MOLTON

Combe Martin 19 miles; Ilfracombe 24 miles; Woolacombe 25 miles.

The attractive market town of South Molton is known as The Gateway to Exmoor and is ideally placed in North Devon, boasting a range of shops, amenities and a twice weekly market. Being pleasantly situated not far from both coastal and inland beauty spots it will suit visitors of all tastes. In close proximity are forests, moors, rivers and coast, with churches and other buildings of historical significance. Residents find the quiet charm of the area attractive and visitors soon experience the sense of civic pride held by the locals. There is superb walking on the South West Coast Path and the North Devon beaches are varied and interesting. Visit the National Trust's Watersmeet Gorge, Valley of the Rocks and the funicular cliff railway. Up on Exmoor, there are various walks to suit all abilities, as well as highlights such as Tarr Steps, Landacre Bridge and the village of Withypool. Further afield, the resorts of Ilfracombe and Combe Martin are well worth a visit, and for some of the best beaches in the country, visit Woolacombe and Saunton and Croyde.
