Everything you need for a great stay, the pool was a real bonus, despite the weather. Mins walk into the village and easy reach of Exeter and the South Devon coast. We will be back!

  • "Lovely stay at Pool House."

Comfy bed and sofa. Bit unlucky with windy weather si although warm, the wind meant sitting outside was shortlived. But we did use the bbq once. Would stay again.

  • "A very convenient property for visiting family & friends, however there was a big problem with the electrics, which was obviously historic , the owners did call out an Electrician at our request as we were not happy to keep flipping the trip in the outside housing, if this has been addressed fully would stay again as a nice property but would need proof of works done!"

Thank you for your comments. ￲Following your stay we took the decision to shut down for the winter to give us time to explore and resolve the problem with the electrics. Work to upgrade electrics was completed in February. Property Owner

  • "Generally the property was in good decorative order."

However the drains to the shower, wash basin and washing up sink need some attention as they are very slow to drain away. The bathroom itself is very small, and there is no mirror at a reasonable height for make-up etc. It also needs a heated towel rail. A hook to hang dressing gowns etc would be useful. Some sites still refer to the pool as being heated, which it isn't! The welcome pack was the smallest we have received in a holiday cottage, with only a pint of milk. However the 2 bottles of cider were appreciated! The bed was very comfortable and the neighbourhood was very quiet at night.

It was a unfortunate to hear that you experienced problems with the drainage at the property. We quickly discovered and rectified this after you had vacated the property at the end of the week. It was such a shame that you did not raise this with us during your stay as we spoke to you on several occasions and it could have been quickly solved. It was useful to have your feedback about ways to improve the property and now we have installed some hooks in the bathroom for dressing gowns and towels. There is also a heated towel rail in the property now too. Thank you. Property Owner

  • "Brilliant stay with very friendly owners but able to do own thing too."

Everything you need and very suitable for a solo traveller. Comfy bed and kitchen well equipped. Pool was so nice and very clean. Garden space just as it looks in photos. I did struggle to find property at first but maybe just me. Crediton a sweet place.

  • "Had a lovely stay in the pool house, and made good use of the pool given the weather we had last week."

Not a heated pool but Emma and Richard use a pool cover to retain heat by solar transfer, very pleasant warm temperatures recently meant a nice swim could be had without getting cold. Clear instructions for checking in/out, very welcome gesture in the fridge upon arrival of a couple of bottles of cider and a pint of milk… definitely a priority whichever bottle we grabbed first after driving across the country for several hours - thank you

  • "We stayed at the The Pool House from 15-22nd July ‘22 and it was the perfect getaway for us."

Thank you Emma & Richard! The Pool House is extremely well equipped with everything you would need. The bed was amazingly comfortable & the property was spotlessly clean. Thank you for the locally made Cider & Apple juice - welcome refreshments as we had such beautiful hot weather and managed to use the Swimming Pool several times a day, every day of our stay! We had a fantastic time here & would highly recommend it to anyone. Emma & Richard we’re very kind & nothing was too much trouble. Can recommend A lovely Italian on the way to Exeter called Belluno. We will definitely book again! Thank you again. Debbie & Simon

It was great to use the pool in such a hot week in a lovely location. It wold have been nice to have an ice box and the wifi would only connect near the main house, however neither would put me off wanting to stay at the property again.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us at the Pool House. We were really pleased you were able to use and enjoy the pool on such a lovely week. As a result of your useful feedback we have made adjustments to improve the wifi connection in the property. Thank you Property Owner
