Flintstones has an outside space (perfect for our "Sundowners") and set in beautiful gardens which our hosts were very proud of and, indeed, took great pride in. All in all our stay was perfect in every aspect.and we wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending the property to others.

All equipment & the necessary things like tea towels, cleaning cloths, bathroom towels & handwash in the kitchen & bathroom, we had taken our own but this was not necessary and we were very impressed. The garden was absolutely beautiful with lots of trees, shrubs & flowers. It was great to sit by the French doors early in the morning watching the wildlife looking for their early breakfast. The hosts were very welcoming and nothing seemed beyond their willingness to accommodate us if we so needed. This property is joined to the hosts home, however it didn't feel intrusive at all and the hosts were very respectful of our privacy. It is secluded with its own entrance and opening doors on to the patio area, where you can sit in privacy admiring the beautiful garden or listen to the birds. No traffic! The cottage is beautifully decorated, clean and guidelines outlining the Covid-19 are adhered too. We went out everyday visiting local places such as Chard, Bridport ,Lyme Regis ,Crewkerne and Ilminster. We thoroughly enjoyed wandering around these clean towns and visiting the many lovely shops, antique or emporiums. The cottage is well equipped so cooking lovely evening meals was home from home. Wifi good, I had to have a zoom and telephone conference call and there was no issues. We look forward to returning here as soon as we can.

The Annex is in a wonderful village with superb walks at every corner and some views/ sunsets to die for. Chard and Ilminster are very close by car as is Taunton with plenty of “eat out” places and also gastro pubs within walking distance. If you choose the Candlelight pub for lunch there is a lovely walk through a woods with a babbling brook for company. All in all a very nice place for a couple to spend their time sitting doing nothing with a drink for company in the lovely garden or, ambling about in the country lanes and pastures.
