  • "A very comfortable flat in a perfect position: very close to all amenities and an amazing view."

The shared stairway is a bit grubby but, once past the front door, it is soon forgotten!

  • "This was our second stay at Anchor Watch… I was disappointed after our first visit to find this year that upon arrival the oven and dishwasher had been left dirty maybe and oversight by the cleaners apart from that the overall cleanliness of the apartment was good."

The twin bedroom furniture needs replacing ie the beds are broken also the wardrobe is unstable. I am sorry to have to write these comments! Because the main bedroom and living space is good and the view amazing. We still had a very good holiday and would stay again if these issues were resolved.

  • "Lovely property with an amazing view of the Boat Float."

Very comfortable lounge however beds were a bit uncomfortable for us. Back bedroom would benefit from a mattress topper when made into a double bed as it seemed this was only connected by 1 latch which caused a bit of a chasm between the two beds. Didn't have any issues with the stairs to the property. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would book again.

  • "Lovely apartment with the most fabulous view!"

Everything was in great condition….bathrooms and kitchen were modern and well-equipped. Only downside was the entrance staircase, which definitely needs tidying and cleaning! Parking for unloading was also challenging. Central location made it perfect for restaurants and bars as well as ferries and buses. Would definitely return.

Nice accommodation and a good comfortable bed aiding a good nights sleep. Situated in the heart of the town with superb views from the living room windows across the water.

! Everything was as stated...large warm living room, well equipped kitchen, comfy clean beds, central position in a great town ( I do love Dartmouth). Handy shops, bakers, restaurants what more could I say...Oh yes, very helpful staff at Coastal & Country agency, right on doorstep as it were!

The view was amazing , and parking permit a bonus . We will definitely be booking again. Lovely helpful staff at coast and country offices also need a mention.

  • "We both loved the apartment, very spacious and comfortable, views are brilliant at any time of the day or weather, fascinating to sit and watch life go by around the boat float."

We would love to be able to return at some point in the future.

  • "We have stayed at Anchor Watch a number of times, the last time in June."

Then we had supplied tea towel , hair dryer and oven glove. None of these were in the apartment this visit, not sure why these small items are no longer available, not as though they are expensive to supply.

  • "Lovely property to stay in - if anything the photos probably don’t do it justice!"

We were wondering whether the noise would be a problem being so central, but glad we took the gamble because it was nice and quiet in the evenings even at the height of summer. The parking arrangements are great, and being so close to the office to pick up the keys made things really simple as well. You won’t get a better view of Dartmouth to enjoy with your breakfast, and Anchor Watch is the ideal base for exploring south Devon - thank you for a brilliant stay! (Just a couple of private notes if they are useful as feedback: The extractor fan in the en-suite didn’t seem to work; and we know it’s a communal area, but we were worried when we first opened the door from the street as it seemed a bit messy - certainly not the case once inside the apartment which was lovely and clean. Oh and a hand towel for the kitchen would’ve been perfect.)

  • "Beautiful apartment, bigger than what we thought, so spacious."

Furnished to a good standard. View amazing over looking River Dart from morning till night. Fantastic location, easy to pop in and out of apartment as so centrally located. The apartment was 100% fully equipped. Appreciated the bottle of wine that waited us too, very thoughtful of you.(noticed to the wine label was the same picture as hanging on wall) We didn't want to leave, such a relaxing holiday.

  • "Generally a very nice apartment."

Only issues were: (i) a big selling point of the property is the window overlooking the harbour, but this was filthy - and whilst window cleaners cleaned adjacent properties they didn't clean this one during our stay; (ii) the electrics in the kitchen stopped working mid-stay, later tracked down to the circuit breaker kicking in during the middle of the night - suggesting that the electrics may need attention

We loved the decor, it was spotlessly clean and location was great. The view was amazing. The complementary bottle of wine was a lovely gesture, thank you!

  • "The flat is absolutely lovely and the view across the Boat Float and river to Kingswear is unbeatable."

We spent a lot of time gazing out and relaxing. The flat was spotless and spacious, the way it's furnished was just right and the beds very comfortable. Excellent bathroom and shower room - and the towels were a good size, which isn't always the case. The kitchen well laid out and equipped although we would have liked a user guide for the washing machine. We couldn't have enjoyed our Christmas more. Thank you. Sue Dennett.

The bus stops and ferry pontoons were just a very short walk away. There was a parking permit which was a plus as parking in Dartmouth is very scarce. There were good pubs, restaurants, coffee and tea rooms near to the accommodation.
