  • "It was a lovely house it is no good if you are no good with stair only on one thing a tree for Christmas."

  • "Ty’Ddraig was a great house for our week in Dartmouth."

It was well equipped with a comfy bed on the top floor. Lovely towels and bedding. Shower was a great pressure the door just needs a better fit but fine if you pulled it closed enough. The views were worth all the stairs in the property and the garden was a great addition.

  • "We absolutely loved the House and the Stunning views were worth the Price alone."

But both Shower cubicles leak badly because the Doors dont fit/shut properly. This was frustrating as we used towels and copious amounts of loo roll just to soak up the access. This will get through to the floorboards and so sorth unless addressed quickly and will cause greater damage. Also the Frame above the Lounge Folding doors leaked badly. Water was actually dripping onto the floor and a huge puddle forming. We had to request some towels from yourselves to mop this up. We were told this was extreme and only happens when heavy rain and the wind is in a certain direction. But nonetheless, this also needs addressing as will destroy the frame, the brickwork and get into the floorboards. Other than that a New Frying Pan that sits flat would be good. But all in all a fantastic stay. We shall return next year.

  • "The Cottage felt overall damp and impossible to get anything to dry That proves it is damp ."

We could not find the Annex room which had a terribly thin Mattress and the en-suite was rubbish brown water coming out of the wash Basin . Due to this poor experience ( which cost a lot of money ) and gave not much Value . Due to this holiday experience we will never book a Cottage through your company again and will tell all our friends to avoid your Business

  • "All reviews need to be read before booking this property."

The most wonderful thing about it is the view from the lounge and bedroom. Coast and Country were informed of the problems that need addressing and they promised to do that with the owner. If you're fit and like climbing hills, steps and stairs, then you will no doubt enjoy staying here, but it's definitely not for the infirm.

  • "On first impressions a fabulous property."

However on closer inspection it was dirty (particularly under the beds and sofa, and on the balconies/patios including outdoor furniture) There were a number of issues which we took up with Coast & Country Cottages the day after we arrived. Unfortunately could not do so earlier because book in time was so late that the office was closed. Sadly not all issues were dealt with, though some were. I would be very happy to forward my email sent to Coast and Country either to Sykes or to the owners. On the plus side the views were wonderful!

  • "The house has beautiful views over the river."

Its very comfortable,it has everything you need. We believe its in the best location. We wished there were some cloths and cleaning items. As the tables outside needed a good clean down if you wanted to sit on them. I would say house not suitable if you have mobility issues. However house was perfect for us we would definitely book again in the future. Thankyou for sharing your home in beautiful Dartmouth.

Thank you for the lovely feedback - glad you enjoyed yourselves so much! Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our stay, anything we reported was addressed or acknowledged in a timely fashion."

I would say that in previous C&C properties we have been left a few basic essentials like tea and coffee, theses were not left at this property which I felt was a bit tight so maybe something to consider moving forward.

  • "The house was lovley but was really let down by the cleaners covers and bed sheets was covered in human and dog hair we stripped the beds and washed them but asked for more bed linen which they bought out just needed a real good clean a shame because a lovley a property."

We kept hitting our arms on some star fish that are on pole to go down stairs to kitchen. Think starfish needs to be removed .very steep hill up to property so you need to be fit . Stunning views from property

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are thrilled you loved the views from the property, they really are stunning. We can only apologise about the bedding, although we are pleased we were able to rectify this immediately. We will pass on your comments regarding the starfish on to the owners. As Dartmouth is situated by a harbour, the nature of the land can be hilly, however with the hills come the glorious views. We do hope you enjoyed your stay at Ty’r Ddraig and look forward to welcoming you back to the area soon. Property Owner

  • "Property was generally clean but several large cobwebs lurking."

There were no instructions on how to use appliances tv or heating. The shower in the double upstairs bedroom leaked. The lower ground floor bedroom smelt of damp and dirty toilets . There were no cleaning materials in the property. There were no basic provisions such as salt and pepper, dish cloths or kitchen roll. No welcome pack. Difficulty in obtaining keys from key safe (several holiday makers with similar problems as safe completely full of envelopes affecting loosening mechanism) if cannot get into property until after 5pm then surely one late night opening on change over day would be appropriate albeit we did receive a call from the office to say closing at 5.30 pm which was helpful. Car parking pass extremely useful thank you. We would be unlikely to stay in this particular property again but would probably try others on your books.

Many thanks for taking your time to leave feedback. We are disappointed that you encountered some issues on arrival. Please know that if you had made us aware of any matters during your stay we would have done our best to rectify them as soon as possible. We are sorry there was no welcome pack left, these are usually left by the cleaners and as a self catering house provisions are not provided. All appliance information can be found in the white folder provided. The shower upstairs just needs to be closed firmly to avoid a leak. There was a problem with the downstairs toilet as unfortunately a recent guest had thrown some materials - probably make up wipes - into the toilet that had caused the pump to jam. The owners have sorted the problem. We can only apologise that you had difficulty with our key safe, however we have used this method for many years to very few complaints. We do hope you had an enjoyable stay and enjoyed all Dartmouth has to offer. Property Owner
