  • "Was mostly ok."

A few points, would have been nice to know there was free roaming dogs, not a major issue, but nice to know. We shut the gates when went out for the day as was picking up their dogs poo when got home. Mostly clean apart from bathroom, could have been cleaner, plus dead flies on blinds in kitchen and en suite

Thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry you were not fully satisfied with your stay. The property is located on a working farm, where most farm dogs are free range. They are all very friendly dogs so it's never been an issue before. The gates into the Lodge can be shut for your privacy. If you had let me know I would have been straight over to pick up any mess; as I said when you arrived, "if you need me I'm always on the phone or not far away." The flies are also farm related in the summer, there's not much I can do about them, I'm afraid. I would have been happy to help you if I had been made aware of any issues. I hope your future holidays are more suitable for you. Property Owner

That being said the farmer owners were lovely and helpful, the property well laid out and clean. A large garden fenced and gated from the rest of the farm, ideal for children and dogs. It is set in beautiful countryside and ideal for walkers. You need a car to reach the coast and surrounding attractions ie beaches and moors. Allow 40 mins min. It has all the amenities you would expect. Our only niggle is that a little more crockery and cutlery would be welcome rather than run the dishwasher on half loads frequently Despite the Sykes misinformation it does have good WI-FI which the youngsters appreciated. Would we go back? Definitely

The lodge was beautifully clean and well equipped with views to die for! We were very lucky with the weather too. The farm dog, Drift was a regular visitor to the garden to play with our dog! Our only suggestion would be to perhaps have a more extensive information pack at the lodge with distances to the nearest pubs and facilities etc. Also, the grass could have done with a cut! There does seem to be a problem with flies, but I guess that is the joy of being in the countryside! But these are just little niggles really. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting a relaxing break with easy access to lots of lovely places. Well done - keep up the good work!!!
