Your home away from home

Trevean is a cosy and warm cottage in the village of Crackington Haven in Cornwall.

This property is perfect for a family looking for a getaway as it boasts a woodburning stove, countryside views and is close to the beach for fun days out that everyone will love.

Step into your new holiday abode to meet the open-plan living area with slate floors and exposed stone.

You will find everything you need for a self-catered stay with an electric oven and hob on hand for any cooking needs.

Plate up your scrumptious food on the dining table, unless the sun is shining, then head outside to take control of the barbecue.

Enjoy some traditional summer foods as you bask in the sun and look out onto the countryside views.

Have a drink or two as you sit out on the garden furniture before the sun ebbs away for the night time sky.

Head back inside to curl up next to the woodburning stove on one of the sofas to get warm.

Choose a DVD, a book or a game from the selection available for some evening entertainment.

Unless you’d rather find a favourite show on the Smart TV for everyone to binge.

When a yawn comes along, head upstairs for rest in either the king-size bed or twin room.

Start a new day off just right by unwinding with a soak in the bath ahead of more fun.

A shop is a short walk away for any essentials, whilst a pub is a quick drive for a meal out.

For a splendid day out, head to the divine Crackington Beach to feel the sea ripple against your toes, hike up to Cambeak to see some glorious views or have a stroll along Samphire Rock.

Along the coast in Tintagel, explore the legendary ruins of Tintagel Castle, step through Merlin's Cave or have a walk along Glebe Cliff.

In Bude, have a dip and a paddle in the Bude Sea Swimming Pool, visit the heritage Castle Bude museum or have a family competition at Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club.

CRACKINGTON HAVEN

Boscastle 6 miles.

Crackington Haven is a charming cove near Boscastle, with a mix of rockpools, a sandy beach and good surf. There are two beach shops and cafes, which are wonderful to relax in and look out over the blue seas of the bay. Walking this section of the South West Coast Path, much of it owned by the National Trust, offers dramatic views, a host of wildflowers and an undulating terrain. Just along the coast is the quaint village of Boscastle, with gift shops, local restaurants and pubs offering good food, Cornish real ales and live entertainment by local musicians, making this an ever-popular visitor destination. The sandy Trebarwith Strand beach is within a short drive, as are the surfing beaches at Bude and Polzeath. Close at hand lies Tintagel, swathed in the legend of King Arthur, as well as several stately homes and renowned gardens, or the wide open space of Bodmin Moor, famous for its granite tors and Daphne Du Maurier’s Jamaica Inn.
