  • "The flat was beautiful and spacious."

Very clean. Beds very comfortable. Views incredible.hot tub a fantastic bonus. Not as close to town as we thought but taxi to town and back were easy to obtain and cost between 6-8£ a time which was cheap between the four of us on our trip. We ordered a grocery shop on uber eats from local co op which was easy and quick. All of us enjoyed our stay. We had no issues at all.

  • "Dirty throughout spent most of the week on the phone trying to get things sorted by the time Sykes reported the complaints about the cleanliness and the owner came out we only had one day left of our holiday ."

Would never rent this place again nor would I use Sykes promised call back when not received and I rang told the person was on annual leave don't their staff know if they are on annual leave the following day? Photos of the dirt sent to owner and Sykes were given excuses and told Sykes recommend the owner should offer a bonus to the cleaning team to encourage a good standard of cleaning. If I was paying over £300 every turnover I would be giving them a P45 not a bonus to clean the property. To add insult to injury because a member of Sykes staff forgot to inform the owner about the cleanliness problem when she sent someone to fix the broken shower door and she came on the Wednesday afternoon as we were leaving first thing Friday morning and we said there was no point in sending in the cleaners as we had been in there all week that it was our fault the problem was not rectified. When I spoke again to Joanne and said where were we supposed to go as it was a dreadful day and my friends husband is not in good health and disabled. After paying the best part of £1000 we were given a good will payment of £91. Well all I can say is the flat is situated in a fabulous spot and the outlook is fabulous but in desperate need of a deep clean and certain things replaced or repaired but after this experience we would never use Sykes again or book this apartment so we won't be losing out.

  • "Great well equipped property."

Very spacious and modern. Big outdoor area with hot tub. (Just missing a BBQ). Personal opinion. Beds was very comfortable with on suits. Worst think about staying here was the walk back with a pushchair

  • "The apartment was difficult to find initially and the driveway very tight."

It is a spacious apartment but looking a little tired (floors very scratched and dishwasher baskets falling off the runners). The hot tub was the best I have ever been in, lovely and clean. Barney (the man from downstairs) asked if we had a dog (we didn’t) because there was dog excrement on his steps, yet he has 2 dogs. We were disturbed by the dogs howling on a couple of occasions. You deffo need a car to get about but overall it is a good location.

  • "The apartment was spot on."

There was just a couple of issues. We were not told the door number which we had to call Sykes for the number. The toaster was not working on one side. Extracter not working in kitchen kept setting off the smoke alarm because could not shut door in kitchen to stop alarm going off. Shaving light in showing room in bedrooom closest lounge not working. However, these issues did not impact our stay . The apartment was situated in a great area with great views which you could never get bored of. We loved the hot tub and pool table. We would definitely recommend and would return.

  • "The flat a great size."

Facilities very good. Only 3 criticisms extract fan in on suite not working same problem no extract fan in main bathroom. A little bit more attention to wiping the cupboard doors in all the rooms to clean the fingerprints off them. My general opinion , a great holiday flat and would book it again .

The garage/games room was handy to store our outdoor kit and it was useful to have the washing machine and dryer too. A lovely big hot tub in a private garden. Thank you for a great week.

We really enjoyed our stay A few things need sorting to make it 5* :- Chipped crockery Toilet roll holder falling off Large sofas luxurious but only comfortable if you’re laying down Poor or no instructions:- cooker, tv, etc Could have been a few credits on the arcade machine ( tend not to carry cash these days) Not familiar with coffee pod machine, could have been a few supplied or told where to get them Parking spaces not clear , people below seemed to be disgruntled at our parking Extractor fan not working

  • "We had a wonderful stay in this lovely apartment."

It’s about 20 minutes brisk walk into Torquay town centre, there are some steep steps to navigate though, fine on the way there, not so much on the way back! Lovely spacious apartment, very clean. A couple of minor niggles, the extractor fan in the kitchen didn’t work. Neither did the fan in the en-suite. The TV was a bit of a nightmare to get to work, but we managed in the end. And the flooring was a little marked, it was obvious that previous occupants had ‘dragged’ things across the floors. None of the above detracted from our wonderful stay though, we would definitely return.

  • "Lovely property, there were a few issues with some appliances."

Extractor fan in kitchen was not working. Extractor in en-suite was not working. It did come on twice during stay but very random. Glad of manual for oven as that was a little challenge too. Did use washing machine, everything shook in kitchen and did feel for occupants downstairs. Also, Quite noisy when upstairs occupants were in, especially as young and partying throughout the night, which obviously can’t be helped by the owners.
