  • "Lovely property with beautiful settings, very welcoming owners."

The cottage is lovely with good sized rooms (though slightly small kitchen). The views are amazing. Kids loved the swimming pool - not heated but was hot enough for us with the attached sauna if needed (there were set hours for use by each property). Great stay!

Excellent owners did their almost to help in every way.

  • "We were warmly welcomed upon arrival, and the warmth of the accommodation on a bitterly cold day matched the welcome we received."

We found the location of the accommodation very convenient to get to, and the setting was ideal. Internally we thought the space was comfortable and worked well for us. We were very pleased we chose this site, and could well be back if we plan a similar trip.

  • "The Farmhouse was perfect, very comfortable with everything we needed."

The owners were very friendly and helpful and are clearly passionate about their offer. The whole site is lovely with nice walks around the 4 acres. We were lucky enough to have some hot weather and used the pool. Having allocated slots per house is a great idea for quiet time and privacy as well as Covid. We didn’t get a chance to use the camp kitchen on this visit but it looks great fun. Location was great for exploring Devon for the first time. We hope to be back.

  • "We had a lovely stay at the Farmhouse, the house was spotlessly clean and there was so much space for us."

The grounds were amazing, we loved the pool and outdoor cooking area. The only addition to the house that would have helped us was a washing machine. The bathrooms are a little dated but spotlessly clean. Lisle and Lloyd were lovely hosts, the bubbly and cake on arrival was such a nice touch.

  • "We had an amazing time in the characterful, spacious yet cosy Farmhouse."

We visited with our four children who loved the camp kitchen, toasting marshmallows and building dens in the woodland. Even though the pool is not heated, once you’re in it is lovely and the setting only adds to the enjoyment. The views across the rolling hills and down the lane at the thatched cottages were breathtaking and we regularly ate breakfast outdoors so we could take it all in. There was easy access to the main roads, if you wanted to visit the southern coast beaches and the beauty of Dartmoor is right on the doorstep. Lisle and Lloyd were very welcoming and accommodating and we couldn’t have hoped for nicer hosts. The property itself was incredibly clean (the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in!) and the lemon cake was beautiful. Very sad to leave and already booked for next year.

  • "Beautiful area very peaceful, the house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay the beds were so comfortable it was bliss."

The gardens and woodland was fantastic with the fire pit and cooking facilities in the summer house we had the most peaceful time amongst nature relaxing in the sun loungers listening to the birds singing around us. The hosts were amazing and the homemade lemon cake was a great touch and delicious will definitely return

  • "Lisle and Lloyd were so welcoming and went the extra mile to answer any questions we had and to make our stay very comfortable."

The accommodation definitely exceeded our expectations and was absolutely spotlessly clean. All the rooms were large and well appointed with plenty of private outside space plus a great wood and stream for the children to explore. Sadly the weather wasn’t good enough to enjoy the swimming pool but it did look very inviting. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here. We were there as a half way house for the coast to coast cycle and it was positioned perfectly for that being only 2miles away from the route. Being so close to Dartmoor and it’s beautiful landscape and great walks it gave the rest of the family lots to do. The kitchen is quite snug but was not an issue as it was well stocked Along with the other cottages onsite it would make a great venue for large family gatherings. We hope to be back sometime in the future
