The property

Located on the owners’ farm, this charming barn conversion provides cosy and comfortable accommodation in a rural location set in Bradworthy, North Devon.

Offering the perfect blend of rural and coastal escapism, it is a wonderful location for the family holiday or couples looking for a retreat from busy lives.

Two bright bedrooms await you, with one having the benefit of zip and link beds and the other a sumptuous 4-poster.

The combined kitchen, dining and sitting area has a fabulous, welcoming atmosphere with its vaulted ceilings, timber floors and full-length picture windows at one end allowing you to enjoy the countryside views.

Keep an eye out for deer, pheasant, and not forgetting Duncan the Goat, whose favourite pastime is sitting on the hay bales.

Step outside and enjoy acres of space, perfect for al fresco dining, a family picnic or try your hand at French Cricket (set provided).

The enclosed garden offers plenty of space for children to play while you relax with your favourite drink at the picnic bench.

The historic village of Bradworthy caters for all your amenities and has the all-important village pub/restaurant serving great local food and ale.

Close to the Tamar Lakes and within 30 minute drive to some of the best surfing and family beaches on the North Devon and Cornwall coast, a trip to Bude and Sandymouth Bay offers miles of golden sands, perfect for competing with the children over sandcastle building, playing some ball games or simply relaxing in the sun.

For the energetic, there are plenty of water sports to choose from, and walkers will love the cliff-top walks and the outstanding scenery.

BRADWORTHY

With its large village square surrounded by cottages, village shops, garage and pub (renowned locally for its beer and good food), Bradworthy is the perfect example of the typical Devon country village. Off the beaten track and surrounded by the lush green pastures of North Devon, it provides the perfect base for a truly relaxing holiday in an area with several top class visitor attractions. Just 3 miles away the Tamar Lakes provide fishing and an array of watersports for the enthusiast, while south-west is the beach resort of Bude, with its outstanding surfing, rocky coves, golf course and restaurants. Several excellent stretches of the SW Coast Path, the beaches at Sandy Mouth and Welcombe Mouth, Hartland Point Quay and Lighthouse and the beautiful cliff-side village of Clovelly and bike riding on the Tarka Trail are some of the attractions that should not be missed in this fascinating area.
