Exeter Inn Cottages

Situated in the delightful Devon village of Chittlehamholt are these four fabulous North Devon cottages. Tucked away in a quiet courtyard of the picturesque 16th century Exeter Inn, three of these Devon cottages sit just a few yards from the Inn, whilst the fourth is a wing of the Inn with its own private entrance. Each of these Devon cottages contains all the modern conveniences that you would expect from a high quality holiday home with the added benefit of a choice of two restaurants at the Exeter Inn. These Devon cottages are ideally located between the Taw and Mole valleys, known locally as “Tarka the Otter” country, named after the classic novel by Henry Williamson. The Tarka Trail is within easy reach of these Devon holiday cottages, providing over 30 miles of traffic free cycling or walking through largely unspoilt countryside. There are a large number of golf courses near to these Devon cottages and the cottage owners can help organise golfing breaks, which can be tailored to your requirements. Just along the road from these Devon cottages is the Highbullen Golf & Country Club, which offers a range of sporting activities and a beauty spa. There are beautiful landscapes and seascapes to explore from these Devon cottages; from the wildness of Dartmoor to the soft hills of Exmoor, which roll gently towards the dramatic North Devon coastline, which boasts pretty villages including Clovelly, Appledore, Lynton and Lynmouth.

The location of the cottage was ideal. It was quietly tucked away in a tiny village, literally 30 seconds walk from the pub.
