"A little bit of luxury"

The Old Dairy is a lovely cottage set in the owners grounds with lovely gardens. The owners made us feel very welcome and were on hand for any little queries we had. It was spacious enough for a family of 4 and the rabbit and guinea-pig were also welcome. The cottage was clean and the kitchen fitted out with a good range of cooking utensils. Although it did not have a private garden we were able to use the owners garden which has a lovely duck pond. Although located a short distance from main roads we found it an excellent base to tour the surrounding area. This is an ideal property in which to relax away from the hustle and bustle and there are plenty of walks nearby.

Location: Broadwoodkelly

Winkleigh 3 miles; Okehampton 8 miles.

Broadwoodkelly is a delightful country village set among lush green fields, high hedgerows and winding lanes just 8 miles from Okehampton and the ‘Gateway’ to the moors. Surrounded by a labyrinth of country walks, with several excellent fishing rivers, a number of quality golf courses and a wealth of wildlife on the doorstep, there are few better spots from which to experience the joys of country living. Pretty thatched villages with quaint pubs and restaurants abound, while close to hand are a number of Stately homes and National Trust properties. The wide sandy beaches and amazing surf of the North Devon coast is a short drive away, while in the other direction lie the wildest tors of Dartmoor. The cathedral city of Exeter is 50 minutes by car.

Previous visitors' comments about The Old Dairy:

Very friendly welcome by owners and dogs. Good situation for various tourist attractions and the immediate surroundings were beautiful.
Mr Whiting, Grantham, September 2009

Everything!! The cottage exceeded our expectations. We had a lovely welcome from the owners and then we were left to our own devices. The whole area was fantastic and beautiful, we enjoyed the ducks, horses, chickens and not forgetting Sasha and Barley (the owners dogs) and the puppies!! There was plenty of places to visit and overall it was a wonderful holiday. Will definitely go back again.
