The Property

Miss Murphy's House is an attractive Georgian townhouse in the centre of the seaside resort of Teignmouth. This spacious 4-storey Teignmouth holiday home has a cosy, welcoming feel to it and retains some period features, including fabulous original pine floorboards throughout, making it practical and attractive for families. This Teignmouth holiday home offers five bedrooms and two bathrooms, in addition to a sitting room, and the hub of activity is bound to be the large open dining area for everyone to gather together, leading to the well-equipped kitchen. From the kitchen, patio doors open out to the private walled garden, an ideal relaxing space to soak up the holiday atmosphere. Your holiday home in Teignmouth is only one minute's walk away from the seafront and close to shops, pubs, restaurants, the outdoor swimming pool, skate park, adventure golf and sandy beaches. Apart from beaches, Teignmouth also has a working port on the river side of town, and the quay, built from Dartmoor granite, is a place of busy marine activity all year round. Across the river is the pretty town of Shaldon which has numerous Regency houses, the Shaldon Wildlife Trust’s breeding centre for rare mammals and the well known beach at Ness Cove reached through a genuine smugglers’ tunnel. You can easily reach the English Riviera from this Teignmouth house, which includes the large built up coastal towns of Torquay and Paignton, home to a fabulous zoo and a steam train taking you to the River Dart.
