This is a superbly presented detached cottage, set in the Parkstone area of Poole, with excellent road links to the Branksome Dean, Poole Quay and Sandbanks for access to the sea, and for travelling inland to the New Forest.

Beautifully furnished throughout, providing spacious, contemporary accommodation over two floors, Holly Cottage is ideal for friends or families who want to spend time together exploring the forest and the Jurassic Coast.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, one double and a twin, plus a family bathroom with a roll-top bath and a separate shower.

Coming through the front door downstairs you turn left into a light and airy sitting room with sofas and easy chairs.

Turning right takes you through the second sitting room, or children’s playroom, and via glass doors into the large, and well-equipped kitchen/diner, which has skylights and bi-fold doors opening onto the patio area that runs the length of the back of the house.

To the rear of the property is a large patio area and a set of six steps taking you up to a large area of all-season AstroTurf, making the garden usable all year round.

The town of Poole is dominated by one of the world's biggest natural harbours, which features five pine-clad islands and regular boat trips.

The largest of these islands is Brownsea Island, where Baden Powell began the Scout Movement.

If you fancy leaving the car behind, Branksome railway station is nearby.

The local beaches at Sandbanks provide excellent facilities for all kinds of watersports.

You could catch the car/foot ferry at Sandbanks, for a day out on the Purbeck Peninsula, or enjoy the beautiful National Trust sandy beaches at Shell Bay and Knoll Bay and further on to Swanage, Corfe Castle, Lulworth, Abbotsbury and the Jurassic Coast.

Alternatively, visit the neighbouring family-friendly seaside resort of Bournemouth, and within driving distance is the fascinating New Forest National Park.
